Converting<br />
<strong>Hesta</strong> heads to<br />
‘Conventional’ Servo control<br />
A s a result of many customer requests we have developed an adapter plate that enables<br />
‘conventional’ servo valves to be used in place of the special H+L device.<br />
This means you can replace the <strong>Hesta</strong> parison programmer with virtually any other parison<br />
programmer such as Moog, Hunkar, Barber Colman, Siemens etc..<br />
Our adapter plate connects the servo valve directly to the <strong>Hesta</strong> wall thickness control cylinder.<br />
We have also integrated the LVDT transducer inside this adapter block.<br />
In addition to having a much greater choice of the latest technology servo valves that have excellent<br />
dirt resistance, you also have a choice of servo valve repair companies.<br />
The time to carry out the installation is minimal as there are no mechanical changes to the<br />
cylinder mounting or its coupling.<br />
This also means that the cylinder remains compatible with your existing <strong>Hesta</strong> heads.<br />

Which Parison Programmer<br />
is best<br />
for your application?<br />
Most packaging applications<br />
do not require<br />
’hundreds’ of profile points.<br />
In fact 10 to 30 are usually<br />
adequate.<br />
For larger mouldings (20 to<br />
200 lt) 50 to 100 points are<br />
needed to achieve good<br />
wall thickness control.<br />
‘Slider’ type systems are<br />
very user friendly and are<br />
still the preferred choice of<br />
most companies.<br />
‘Screen’ type programmers<br />
often have many high-tech<br />
features but may also need<br />
‘higher tech’ setters !<br />
