All trusts have achieved a high level of compliance with child protection

training at stage 1 e.g. Southern Trust have 97 per cent of their staff trained to

Stage 1. All other trusts have achieved at least 80 per cent.

The review team noted the framework for training outlined. All CAMHS staff

should be trained to a minimum of Child Protection Stage 2. This conclusion is

based on training definitions and principles outlined in Cooperating to

Safeguard Children (Interagency Training) (DHSSPS, 2003).
