Course 

If you would like to be able to carry a firearm in most 

states around this country, then this course if for 

you! The Utah CFP permit training course is four 

(4) hours and the permit is valid for five (5) years. 

Renewal of the permit does not require additional 

training. Firing of a firearm is not required to obtain 

the Non-Resident Utah Concealed Firearm Permit. 

This permit is ideal for people who travel and want 

to legally protect themselves and their family. This 

Utah permit is recognized by thirty-one (31) states

In the 1800’s 

covered bridges 

were practical due 

to the abundance 

of timber, but why 

did they cover 

them? They were 

covered to protect 

the floorboards 

along with the fact that the horses did not like to cross the open 

bridges where they could see and hear the rushing water. There 

just happens to be a select number of these precious pieces of 

heritage still standing. With a total of 31 covered bridges, our 

destination is Parke County Indiana, “Covered Bridge Capital 

of the World”. Upon arrival, you will get some free time to 

explore all the festival sights and sounds around the courthouse 

(lunch on your own at this time). After plenty of time to stretch 

our legs, we’ll reboard and meet up with our guide for the 

afternoon to visit 5-6 covered bridges in the area. Not only will 

we get to enjoy the beautiful fall colors, but we’ll learn about 

the history and construction of covered bridges along with 

local legends and lore. Also, if you enjoy shopping then you 

will also love our stop on the tour in historic Bridgeton where 

there is an authentic old mill along with shops and festival

Take time out to celebrate our Veterans and our regions 

culture with a daytrip to the Iowa Veteran’s Museum and 

the John Deere Tractor Assembly Plant in Waterloo, Iowa. 

While at the Veteran’s Museum you will learn about the five 

Sullivan Brothers. They all enlisted in the Navy together 

after a good friend of theirs was killed in action. The 

brothers were granted permission to all serve together on the 

same ship. Unfortunately, their ship went down in battle and 

these brothers were lost at sea. This museum honors these 

brothers as well as all veterans from Civil War to present 

day conflicts with interactive exhibits, oral histories and war 

time memorabilia. After lunch at the museum (included) 

we will head toward the only location in North America that 

manufactures the big green tractors. During WWI John 

Deere played an instrumental role in the production of war 

wagons, carts, and other equipment for the allied forces. 

During WWII, old production lines were converted and new 

ones built as factories mobilized to produce ammunition, 

wagons, airplane components, and tank transmissions. 

When we arrive at the tractor assembly, we will view a film on 

the history of John Deere and afterwards board a trolley that 

will take us through the complete manufacturing process. 

Trip includes transportation, lunch, tours and gratuities.

Kindermusik Milk & Cookies 

For children ages 1 ½ -4 years, each accompanied by a 

parent. Children learn what comes naturally to them – 

music and movement – in an environment that fosters 

creative growth. This program offers music and activities 

to stimulate emotional, cognitive, physical, social, 

language and musical growth. Milk & Cookies focuses 

on everyday home activities such as cooking, dusting, 

and washing clothes. Baking cookies, eating cupcakes, 

blowing on hot cross buns, wiggling like jelly, going 

grocery shopping and making tea are all represented 

in familiar songs and activities. Home materials 

include: a 40-page home activity book, 2 home CD’s, 2 

literature books from the Kindermusik library, and a stir 

xylophone as the special instrument, all packaged in a 

purple insulated lunch bag. Special keepsake with this 

curriculum is the Milk & Cookies Recipe Book featuring 

cookie recipes submitted by participating families.
