What’s New
GDP215 Publication Design
Print and publishing no longer
means just ink on paper. Graphic
designers are now designing for
mobile media. This class uses Adobe
InDesign CS6 and the Adobe Digital
Publishing Suite to produce interactive
publications for the iPad.
Techniques taught include: building
panoramas, pan and zoom images,
incorporating video and audio, animation,
linking to online content
and other interactive functions.
Students design their own magazine
that is then uploaded and viewed on
the iPad. Knowledge of InDesign
software is necessary. Owning an iPad
is not required.
Guaranteed Admission is more
commonly referred to as the Transfer
Admission Guarantee program (TAG).
A TAG is a contractual agreement
between you, SBCC and a four-year
institution.
Students who meet and maintain
stated admission and major
requirements are guaranteed
admission to a specific four-year
college or university.
TAG schools and SBCC understand
that goals change. Students who write
a TAG are not obligated
to transfer to the four-year college
or university.
