AFCA is pleased to announce <strong>the</strong> completion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 2012-2013 Africa <strong>Taste</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
Harvest (AToH) competition. The event was held on 13 th February, and was presided<br />
over by Head Judges Trish Rothgeb (USA) and Gavin Gam (Australia) and a team <strong>of</strong><br />
over 10 experienced intern<strong>at</strong>ional cuppers from all over <strong>the</strong> world.<br />

We received and cupped over 25 <strong>Arabica</strong> samples from <strong>the</strong> best c<strong>of</strong>fees from 5<br />
countries th<strong>at</strong> held n<strong>at</strong>ional <strong>Taste</strong> <strong>of</strong> Harvest competitions in 2012/13. The samples<br />
were from Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Kenya and DRC. Below are <strong>the</strong> detailed scores<br />
for <strong>the</strong> best 5 samples. The Regions <strong>Arabica</strong> C<strong>of</strong>fees continue to impress and all <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> 5 samples scored above 86 points.<br />
Note - Ethiopian c<strong>of</strong>fees were removed from <strong>the</strong> competition due to<br />
logistic problems with <strong>the</strong> samples<br />
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all <strong>the</strong> judges, sponsors and<br />
Volunteers who assisted to make <strong>the</strong> AToH successful. And most <strong>of</strong> all, <strong>the</strong> deleg<strong>at</strong>es<br />
and exhibitors who particip<strong>at</strong>ed in <strong>the</strong> 10 th African Fine C<strong>of</strong>fees Conference &<br />
Exhibition (AFCC&E) in Kampala Uganda.<br />
