BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION JOHN S. GLEASON JOHN S. GLEASON is Regulation Counsel for the Colorado Supreme Court where he directs an office responsible for the regulation of Colorado attorneys and magistrates and the prosecution of unauthorized practice of law matters. He also serves as counsel to the Supreme Court Attorneys' Fund for Client Protection, State Board of Law Examiners, and as sp~cialcounsel for the Commission on Judicial Discipline. Prior to his appointment as Regulation Counsel to the Supreme Court, he served as a senior trial lawyer and Deputy Regulation Counsel. He previously served as a criminal prosecutor and was in private practice with a law firm in·Denver for several.years. He attended Bowling Green State University as an undergraduate and earned his law degree from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law. Mr. Gleason is active locally and nationally with the National Organization of Bar Counsel, the National Organization of Judicial Counsel, the American Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and is a former member of the Colorado Bar Association Ethics Committee. Mr. Gleason serves as a member of the Supreme Court Judicial Council and the Supreme Court Standing Committee on the Rules of Professional Conduct Mr. Gleason has been an adjunct faculty member of Columbia College since 1985. NANCY L. COHEN Nancy L. Cohen is Chief Deputy Regulation Counsel with the Colorado Supreme .Court O£fice of Attorney Regulation Counsel. She was in private practice for seventeen years and' 'practiced in the area of lawyer discipline, employment disputes and . commercial litigation. She has served as Chairperson of the Colorado Bar Association's Ethics Committee from 1990-1991 and has been a member since 1984. Ms. Cohen also was a member of the Model Rules Committee appointed by the Colorado Supreme Court and CBA. Ms. Cohen was a member of the Colorado Supreme Court Regulatory Committee to review and make recommendations about the lawyer disciplinary system. Ms. Cohen serves as a member of the Supreme Court Standing Committee on the Rules of Professional Conduct. Ms. Cohen has written articles on ethics for the Annual Survey of Colorado Law and is a frequent lecturer on ethical and employment· issues at Colorado "Bar Association Conventions, Colorado Women's Bar Association Conventions and for Continuing Legal Education and ALIIABA. Ms. Cohen is the first recipient of the Alumni Professional Award from the University of Denver College of Law. Ms. Cohen was elected in 2003 as Secretary of the National Organization of Bar Counsel (NOBC). JAMES S. SUDLER Jamie Sudler. is an Assistant RegulationCounselwith:the'Supreme Court Office of Attorney Regulation. Mr. Sudler graduated from the University of Denver College of Law. He has been with the Office of Attorney Regulation for over 11 years. Prior to this he was a prosecutor in the Colorado Attorney General's Special Prosecutions Unit, and the Antitrust Unit. In earlier years, Mr. Sudler was in private practice with the firm of Rothgerber, Appel, Powers &Johnson.
