Our Programs<br />

ASSESSMENT<br />

The first step in entering a treatment<br />

program is to complete an assessment with<br />

one of our counselors, who will then be<br />

able to determine the right program(s) for<br />

you. You can schedule an assessment<br />

by calling (330) 375-2984.<br />

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING<br />

Individual counseling is available for<br />

adults and adolescents. It is offered to<br />

clients who attend group, and may also<br />

be offered instead of group, at the<br />

counselor’s discretion.<br />

ALCOHOL, TOBACCO and<br />

OTHER DRUG Clinic<br />

ATOD Clinic is a three-hour alcohol/other<br />

drug education program aimed at<br />

interrupting early substance use patterns.<br />

Topics include:<br />

• Harmful effects of alcohol/other drugs<br />

• Blood alcohol levels<br />

• Consequences of choices<br />

• Laws related to substance use<br />

• Family roles and hereditary risks<br />

CHECKPOINT<br />

Checkpoint is an eight-week therapy group to<br />

treat those with substance abuse issues.<br />

Program length is flexible, based on client needs.<br />

Topics covered include:<br />

• Negative effects of alcohol/other drugs<br />

• Relapse prevention<br />

• Family dynamics<br />

• Decision making skills<br />

• 12-step programs<br />

• Emotions and defenses<br />

I N S I G H T<br />

Insight is a two<br />

hour alcohol/other<br />

drug education<br />

program aimed at<br />

interrupting early<br />

substance use in<br />

adolescents.<br />

Topics include :<br />

• Harmful effects of alcohol/other drugs<br />

• Blood alcohol levels<br />

• Consequences of choices<br />

• Laws related to underage<br />

consumption<br />

• Family roles and hereditary risks<br />

FOR TEENS<br />

INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT<br />

(IOP) and AFTERCARE<br />

IOP treatment is available for adults who<br />

are chemically dependent. IOP includes<br />

individual and group counseling, and is<br />

designed as an eight week program, but<br />

the length of time is flexible, depending<br />

on client needs. It meets three times per<br />

week for three hours per day. The aftercare<br />

program is an eight week program to<br />

support relapse prevention among<br />

recovering adults.<br />

Impact is an<br />

adolescents with<br />

substance abuse<br />

issues, but the<br />

length of the<br />

program is<br />

flexible, based<br />

on client needs.<br />

Individual counseling and urine drug<br />

screening are also part of this program.<br />
