Preliminary Program - Software Engineering Institute

Wolfgang Grimm was born in 1963. After a study of electrical

engineering at the University of Karlsruhe, he joined the BOSCH

Group in 1989 as a software engineer. He held several positions as

software architect, project manager, and line manager in software

and systems development.

In 2002 he joined the BOSCH Engineering GmbH, a engineering service

provider within the BOSCH Group. At BEG he is responsible for the

CMMI program and company wide quality management. Besides that he

leads an inhouse consultancy team, which supports the BOSCH Group

and its partners with quality methods and process consultancy.

Bosch

Wolfgang Grimm has been the manager of Bosch Engineering GmbH

(BEG) since 2002, providing process consulting, quality management

methods, and project management for the Bosch Group and its partners.

He has held numerous positions in software architecture, as well as in

project and line management in software and systems development.

At BEG, he is responsible for implementing the CMMI program, which

includes two major CMMI projects, and for company-wide quality

management. His experience with embedded software includes

architecture, design of real-time systems, and engine control unit

(ECU) resource management. As a project manager, he was responsible

for the development of an entirely new generation of engine

management systems.

Mr. Grimm has a degree in electrical engineering from the University

of Karlsruhe and holds several patents in the field of real-time

programming. He is married with two children.
