ELE 352 & ELE 352L – EC-6 Learners: Current Issues/Professionalism: Designing
instruction and assessment to promote student learning and creating a positive,
productive classroom environment for the EC-6 learner. This is a field-based plus lab

ELE 440 – Student Teaching in ECH: Synthesis/capstone seminar for student teachers
with a focus on the assisted performance of student teachers in a professional learning
community. This is a field-based component course.

GRANTS
Assisted in writing the Texas Reading First Cycle 2, Year 1 Grant Program for the
Terrell ISD, Terrell, Texas. This grant was funded by the Texas Education Agency of Texas. The
purpose of these grant funds was to enable qualifying education institutions to implement
scientifically based reading programs that help all students achieve reading mastery by the end of
the third grade.
Assisted in writing the Prekindergarten Early Start Tier 1, Cycle 1, Year 1 Grant for the
Terrell ISD, Terrell, Texas. This grant was funded by the Texas Education Agency of Texas. The
purpose of these grant funds was to enable qualifying educational institutions to prepare all
preschool aged children to enter kindergarten on or above grade level and keep them on grade
level in kindergarten and beyond.
