updates. FADE IN... Now that was a show to remember. In a variety of ways. New to BOXOFFICE's ShoWest challenge was our first-ever Digital Daily, which we plan to not only continue but also refine and expand for every ShoWest to come—and for other industry conventions. What proved surprisingly easy (well, they made it look easy) was the extensive coverage and instant analysis of the silver-anniversary convention by two of our talented editors, Christine James and Francesca Dinglasan. What proved surprisingly difficult was the technology. We'd like to thank the cybersavants at EIMS for coming to BOXOFFICE's aid on the show's Evening 1 and successftiUy "persuading" our previously recalcitrant G3 to connect to the web so that we could transmit our tales for you. We'd also like to thank our wondrous webmaster Ken Partridge, who despite near-tragedy in his family again and again found the time (we suspect of the 3 a.m. variety) to HTML and post our daily transmissions.
