The Emilio Aguinaldo College in “Search of Excellence” in the area of academic
performance recently launched a scholarship program for intellectually gifted high school
students. The EMILIO AGUINALDO COLLEGE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP, is named in
honor of the 1 st President of the Philippine Republic, General Emilio Aguinaldo. The
eligible candidate will be entitled to the following:
FULL SCHOLARSHIP (100% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees)
PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIP (50% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees)

EMILIO AGUINALDO COLLEGE
MERIT SCHOLARSHIP
The Emilio Aguinaldo College Merit Scholarship was established by the
Yaman Lahi Foundation Inc., a non-profit organization that is sole in-charge of
the operation of the Emilio Aguinaldo College. Its primary concern is to recognize
the intellectual giftedness of young individuals who are destined to give their
contribution towards the improvement and advancement of the way of life of
every Filipino in the generation to come. This is the legacy that the institution
bestows to the mother country. It aims to provide educational opportunity to the
intellectually advantage and deserving applicant through quality education in the
field of arts, sciences, business and technology regardless of the applicant’s
family economic status. It shall aim to continue to serve the public through the
merit scholarship as part of the institution’s corporate social responsibility.
The scholarship grant is given to graduating high school students in both
public and private secondary schools. The applicant must obtain an average
academic grade of ninety percent (90%) and above. The Merit Scholarship
provides a hundred percent (100%) discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees
for full scholarship while partial scholarship grants a fifty percent (50%) discount
on miscellaneous and tuition fees.

CRITERIA
Certain criteria shall be adhered to and complied with by the applicant, to wit;
a) Scholarship grant is given to a Filipino born citizen.
b) An average academic grade requirement of 90% and above in the
fourth year level is required.
c) He/She must not incur a grade lower than 80% in all academic
subjects in the last two year level in high school.
d) Applicant must be able to pass the merit scholarship qualifying
examination.
e) At the option of the admitting institution, the applicant may be required
to present himself/ herself for an interview with the committee on
selection.

REQUIREMENTS
The following are the requirements to be submitted to the Admissions Office,
a) Duly Accomplished Application Form
b) Letter of Recommendation from the Principal or Teacher
c) 1 copy of colored picture size 2x2
d) High school Report Card
e) Certification of good moral character from the Guidance Counselor
f) Applicant’s Examination Permit Number
g) Valid School I.D.
POLICY GUIDELINES ON RETENTON OF SCHOLARSHIP
1. The student grantee must pass all the subjects enrolled in during the
semester.
2. He/She should maintain the required grades in the subjects enrolled as
in the following,
a.) Full Scholarship – must have obtained during the semester
under consideration a general weighted average of at least 1.50
and no grade/remark below 2.0, U.W. and O.W.
b.) Partial Scholarship – must have obtained during the semester
under consideration a general weighted average of at least 1.75
and no grade/remark below 2.5, U.W. and O.W.
3. The student grantee in no case shall only be allowed to avail of one
type of scholarship within his/her stay in college.
4. The student grantee is expected to abide with the policies, rules and
regulations promulgated by duly constituted authorities of the college
or he/she shall loose entitlement to the said scholarship grant.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Step 1. Applicant complete and submit application requirements
(Admissions Office)
Step 2. Applicant is notified regarding the schedule of examination
(Admissions Office)
Step 3. Admissions office issues the Applicant’s Examination Number and
is advised to bring a valid school I.D. (Admissions Office)
Step 4. Applicant at the discretion of the school submits himself/herself for
an interview. (Committee on Scholarship)
Step 5. Admissions Office notifies the applicant regarding the result of
application (Admissions Office)
