Simultaneous Branch<br />

A simultaneous branch represents paths (steps or group of steps) that<br />

occur at the same time (i.e., an AND structure).<br />

• All paths execute.<br />

• All paths must finish before continuing with the <strong>SFC</strong>.<br />

• The <strong>SFC</strong> checks the transition after the last step of each path has<br />

executed at least once.<br />

Wire to a Previous Step<br />

In addition to connecting steps in sequences, simultaneous branches,<br />

<strong>and</strong> selection branches, you can connect a step to a previous point in<br />

your <strong>SFC</strong>. This lets you:<br />

• loop back <strong>and</strong> repeat steps<br />

• return to the beginning of the <strong>SFC</strong> <strong>and</strong> start over<br />
