Look professional, sophisticated: This characteristic alone won’t get you selected but
combined with one or both of the previous two definitely improves your chances.

1. Research the shared characteristics of "cool sites". A good place to start is the cool sites listed
at the Website Promoters Resource Center at http://www.wprc.com/fldb/dbase/hot/dbhot.html.
Visit some of these sites and analyze why they were selected. It will improve the odds that your
site will be the next "cool site". As long as you are visiting these sites, might as well nominate
your site, or, at least, bookmark them to return when you feel your site is better positioned for
being selected. Started with the biggest and best sites (e.g., Cool Site of the Day). They will have
