contents.
HTML
Hypertext markup language in which most World Wide Web documents are written.
Image Map
A graphic image at a Web site that contains several hypertext links in different areas of the
image.
Impressions (same as page view)
The number of times visitors sees an advertiser’s banner ad. Host sites generally like to charge
per impression.
Internet
A world wide network comprised of tens of thousands of computer networks linked together.
Also call the "Net."
Listserv
The most common software used to maintain an e-mail list of subscribers and send messages
from one subscriber to all names on the list. (see also "Mailing List")
Mailbot
Another term for autoresponder.
Mailing List
A message sent by one subscriber to a topic-oriented discussion group is automatically emailed
to all. A moderator usually filters out off-topic and blatantly commercial messages.
