Bluebells bloom in spring
gill wood. Rare nenes and
wild lapwing breed. See grey
herons display in the tree
tops at wader lake.
Babies abound! Watch wading
chicks and young common tern
playing. Marvel as fluffy ducklings
hatch. The insect ponds hum with
life and butterflies bask in peaceful
wildflower meadows.
Spot migrating waders stopping
for fuel. Bats mate, as jays
hurriedly bury acorns. Ducks go
into breeding plumage – changing
colour with the leaves.
Curlew spiral down at
dusk to roost. Find colourful woodland
birds perched on fat balls among
frosty branches in hawthorn wood.
Waterbirds perform displays
and courtship rituals.
