PURPOSE OF <strong>JOB</strong><br />
• Responsible for achieving the maximum ROI for through the line Acquisition Marketing<br />
for UK, Ireland, France and Belgium<br />
• Management of <strong>Advertising</strong>, Sponsorship and Tourist board campaigns<br />
• Develop new revenue streams through integrated partnerships with B2B customers, tourist<br />
boards and promotional partners<br />
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br />
• Responsible for planning through the line marketing activities to achieve route revenue<br />
objectives – ensuring that all of our projects have a strong, multi-channel commercial focus<br />
• Management of online campaigns<br />
o PPC campaigns ensuring P&O keywords are kept up to date and we are buying<br />
efficiently and liaise with the UK and Europe ecommerce Managers on SEO cross<br />
over and the UK Acquisition Manager for cross over with affiliates<br />
o Display banner campaign for markets responsible in addition to monitoring cross<br />
over with Tourist Board and 3 rd party campaigns.<br />
o Testing, analysis and development are crucial to this role.<br />
• Manage all offline activities including advertising and sponsorship and ensure integration<br />
wherever possible with online<br />
o Management of Sponsorship projects within markets responsible for ensuring<br />
maximum exposure – review and propose opportunities and when signed off ensure<br />
P&O <strong>Ferries</strong> brand exposure and ROI is maximised.<br />
• Manage the Tourist Board activities ensuring maximum ROI and exposure for the brand<br />
o Put together proposals to secure Tourist Board funding, maximising P&O <strong>Ferries</strong><br />
revenue objectives.<br />
• Oversee campaign delivery to ensure these are timely, on budget and meet objectives set.<br />
• Maintain a clear knowledge of the competitive environment<br />
• Work closely with the European Acquisition and other UK Acquisition Manager to ensure<br />
we are aligning our strategy and execution of our plans.<br />
• Responsible for writing the yearly planning documents for markets and areas managed.<br />
Present and share marketing plans to key stakeholders around the business.<br />
• Deliver market-leading creative executions for integrated campaigns across all routes<br />
responsible.<br />
• Measure the performance of campaigns within metrics set, share results and use results for<br />
future planning.<br />
• Work alongside the ecommerce and retention teams to ensure any DM or ecommerce<br />
activity is consistent with Acquisition activities – taking the lead to ensure teams are<br />
briefed and objectives fulfilled<br />
• Work with the Retail Operations team to seek offers/promotions to support/add value to<br />
partnerships, promotions and 3 rd party operators
• Responsible for writing copy for both on and offline promotions/tourist board sites etc<br />
• Responsible for maximising traffic to our site(s) through effective online, promotional and<br />
partnership marketing ensuring targets are met and ROI is maximised<br />
• Communicate with marketing team KPI’s for creative and activity effectiveness<br />
• Manage and report A&P budget for areas responsible<br />
• Achieve promotional revenue/volume targets for the direct market through 3 rd parties in all<br />
countries across all routes<br />
• Attend industry shows, events. Exhibit where appropriate<br />
• Ensure consistency of message, brand and product by working closely with the other<br />
marketing teams<br />
• Work with the retention team to test and deliver new opportunities for the P&O <strong>Ferries</strong><br />
business/brand<br />
• Work with the planning and yield management team to optimise promotional sales through<br />
distribution channels with limits that are supportive of the business plan<br />
• Provide cover as required for other team members<br />
• To ensure the safety of yourself and others in the carrying out of your duties.<br />
