Tidbits
Officers last December 11-13, 2001. Delegates
came from all the municipalities of Mindanao
composed of Municipal Mayors, Local Civil
Registrars and Judges.
REGION 11
To further improve
the delivery of service to
the public, the region
conceptualized a survey
questionnaire called the
NSO Survey of
Authentication Clients
(NSAC). The survey was
designed to gather data on the basic profile of NSO
clients and get any feedback about the service
delivery and the attitude of the personnel attending to
them.
To empower its human resources, the Region
employed a new strategy to improve the public
speaking skills at the regional office and at Davao del
Sur provincial office of its employees. Ten to fifteen
minutes was allocated per employee to talk, lecture or
report in front of all employees every Monday, after
the flag ceremony. They were given the option to
choose any topic of his or her interest.
It was also during the same year that an IMPS
program was developed for data entry editing and
tabulation of results.
The region marked the preparation of five
news articles published in the Mindanao Daily Mirror
and the Sun Star Davao. The articles focused on
imports, exports, inflation and the labor force status in
the region.
REGION 12
The year saw
pivotal accomplishments
and dramatic
changes with the
retirement of RD
Roberto Flores and the
full confirmation of
NSO Lanao del Norte as part of Region 10 in view
of Executive Order 36.
Celebrations were held for the outgoing
RD through a Tribute Party, a Welcome Party for
PSO Jaime Paller of South Cotabato, who was
appointed officer-in-charge, and a farewell party
for Mr. Joseph Cajita, who was promoted as
Executive Assistant IV at the Central Office.
This regional office was awarded a
Certificate of Recognition for the support
extended to POPCOM XII during the
implementation of Philippine population
Management Program in the region.
The regional staff founded the regional
office’s local version of NSO Provident Fund,
which collects monthly contributions from its
members. The coop offered a cell card loan
program, which provides members a 15-day term
mode of payment.
