Raymond Wolfe Center Longaberger Basket Bingo
On August 10th, the Raymond Wolfe Center in
Kingwood, WV will be holding a Longaberger Basket
Bingo fundraiser at the Kingwood Eagles Club. Doors
open at 11:00 am and Early Bird Bingo starts at 12:00
noon. Purchase your tickets early for a chance to
qualify for an extra basket drawing. Proceeds benefit
Catholic Charities West Virginia (CCWVa) Raymond

Traditional Latin Mass continues to be offered at
4:00 pm on the second Sunday of the month at Our
Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Stonewood
(Clarksburg), WV. For more information, please

Morgantown Magnificat Prayer Breakfast Saturday,
August 24th, Lakeview Resort, 9:00 am—noon. Guest

We need:
• Donations of gift baskets for the very
popular Basket Raffle.
• Donations of containers filled with
individually wrapped candy for
Guestimation Station. (Please tape the
number of candies to the bottom.)
• Set-up and Clean-up Crews
• Grill Sergeants—Would anyone like to
volunteer to grill hot dogs and hamburgers?
• Bounce House Monitors

Parish Picnic
Sunday, September 8!
Joining the Church RCIA (the Rite of
Christian Initiation of Adults) is the process
for adults to explore and enter the Catholic
Church. It is intended for those who have not
been baptized or who are coming from another or no
religious background. It is open to anyone who is
interested in learning about the Catholic faith. All
are welcome in this process of exploring the history,
traditions and practices of the Catholic Church. If
you are interested or have questions, please contact

also register online. Please go to the parish website

Parish,” then “RCIA.” We take each person where
they are and help them to grow into the faith.
Catholic Homeschool Group meets on the First
Friday of each month at St. John University Parish
in Morgantown, WV. Students ages K-12 gather
for activities/crafts and to study Scripture, the
Catechism, virtues, and lives of the Saints. Meetings
held from 2-4 p.m. Our first meeting is September
6th. We also gather throughout the year for service
projects, field trips, and to celebrate various feast
days of the liturgical year. For more information,

Request from a parishioner On Labor Day
weekend, I will be one of 75 bicyclists who will ride
150 miles on the Great Allegheny Passageway. We
are riding with a group called Xpedition G.A.P.,
which helps families who are battling childhood
cancer. I will be riding on behalf of Michael
Labella, a courageous 10 year old boy who has a
Gleoneuronal brain tumor. It is inoperable, and the
only known cure would be full dose radiation,
which would cause massive damage to his young
brain. Every dollar raised will help his family with
expenses incurred during his treatments (food,
lodging, gas, etc.) If you are interested in reading
