Pollack
for Steelcase Select Surfaces

Pollack
The Pollack studio has extensive experience with weaving and fabric construction, developing
textiles from the ground up. As a result, Pollack textiles are recognized for their versatile
design, beauty and performance. The innovative materials and techniques used are sourced
from specialized mills around the world to bring a signature look that naturally plays in both
contemporary and traditional styles. The color sense is refined and nuanced, with depth and
complexity. In addition to its own showroom in New York City, Pollack is represented by more
than 30 showrooms in the United States and abroad.
Pollack, a highly regarded designer and distributor of quality textiles, was founded in 1988 by design director
Mark Pollack, chief executive officer Rick Sullivan, and sales and marketing director Susan Sullivan.
The alphaPOLLACK Collection
The alphaPOLLACK collection is the result of a unique relationship between Pollack and Alpha Workshops,
a not-for-profit design studio located in New York City that trains and employs people living with HIV/AIDS
in the decorative arts. Pollack commissioned original artwork from the Alpha studios to serve as inspiration
for fabrics in the alphaPOLLACK collection. These designs are printed, drawn or painted, and exhibit the
spontaneous hand of the artist. In an effort to support its programs and ongoing efforts, a portion of the
proceeds from the sale of these textiles directly benefits Alpha Workshops.
For further information on Alpha, please visit www.alphaworkshops.org.
