CALL FOR RCIA SPONSORS
Do you feel called to journey along
with those who have expressed a
desire to join the Catholic Church?
You may have an important role to
play in the RCIA process as a
sponsor. No special knowledge is
needed, just your willingness to be a
friend on the road of faith.
A sponsor is a practicing Catholic
who represents the St. Thomas More
community. Most importantly, a
sponsor is called to be a companion
and offer support to their Candidate.
Sponsors aren’t asked to be theologians,
or teachers. RCIA sponsors
tell us that the experience helped
them love Jesus Christ more deeply
and renew their appreciation of their
Catholic faith. Sponsoring may be
one of the best things you can do to
grow in your faith, as well as give
back to the STM community. For
more details, contact Richard Joseph
at 404-284-9510 or
STEWARDSHIP THOUGHT—
TWENTY-FOURTH SUNDAY
IN ORDINARY TIME
The prophet Isaiah teaches us that the Lord God
is our help in the face of opposition. In St. Mark’s
Gospel, Jesus proclaims we must take up our
cross and follow Him. St. James gives us a
practical lesson on sacrifice when he states, faith
of itself, if it does not have works, is dead. What
a powerful stewardship message! We, as Christ’s
disciples, are called in our Baptism to serve the
Church by giving our time, talent, and treasure
back to God through our parish communion. It is
our responsibility as faithful stewards to use
God’s abundant gifts wisely. How are we
responding to His call to service?
BEING PRO-LIFE
Being Pro-life means many things. Volunteers at
the unborn and the moms and dads? If so please
respond today by calling 404-763-4432 or emailing
aappcvolunteer@yahoo.com Volunteer roles can
be daily, weekly, monthly or as time permits. There
are many roles - parenting class instructor, organizing
