TJIU Rosen, son of Sam Rosen of Lockwood-<br />

Gordon-Rosen Theatres, will be married<br />

November 22 to Miss Shirley Frances Adams<br />

of Hartford in the Asylum Hill Congregational<br />

Church. Young Rosen is now serving with<br />

the Ai-my in New Jersey, while the bride-to-be<br />

is a recent graduate of Colby College, Waterville.<br />

Sam Hart. Columbia exploiteer here ahead<br />

of several major attractions, got a Paris<br />

postcard from his son Don, serving with the<br />

The Air-Line Drive-In on Route 33 offered<br />

"The Desperate Woman" as an adults-only<br />

remainder of the season. Only six outdoor<br />

situations in metropolitan Hartford are continuing<br />

The screening was held at the theatre one evening<br />

Warner Garde at New London, hosted Aldo<br />

Ray. touring star of Columbia's "Three<br />

Stripes in the Sun." November 10. Ray signed<br />

autographs in the theatre lobby from 7 to 8<br />

p.m. He was accompanied by Carlos Navao<br />

of the Columbia exploitation department<br />

Yours" in Connecticut was for the Palace in<br />

South Norwalk. The film opens November 23<br />

Capitol in Middletown<br />

Goes to First Run Bills<br />

HARTFORD— Sal Adorno sr.,<br />

general manager<br />

of the M&D Theatres, has put the Capitol<br />

in Middletown on first runs. The initial<br />

double bill featured "My Sister Eileen" and<br />

"House of Bamboo."<br />

M&D also operates the Palace, a first run.<br />

and the Middlesex, used for special attractions.<br />

Mike Adorno. assistant general manager,<br />

supervised extensive promotion heralding<br />

the new policy.<br />
