Catch the fun when it happens, with either film or digital

A compact, lightweight, high-power

zoom, great for both digital SLRs and

35mm film cameras

Picture this. You’re on a once-in-a-lifetime trip with

family or friends. Or maybe just out traveling on

your own. And you’ve finally got the lens that your

memories deserve. It’s Tamron’s new wide to telephoto

zoom for both digital and film cameras. After

all, Tamron is the pioneer in lightweight, compact,

high-power zoom lenses that are as easy and fun

as being on vacation. When mounted on a 35mm

film camera, this lens captures all the scenery with

its 28mm wide angle. Or put it on a digital SLR, and

its 310mm equivalent* telephoto zoom allows you

to take great shots of wild animals without getting

too close, and delivers impressive candid portraits

effortlessly. At last, a lens that has what it takes to

capture what you see. * When converted to 35mm film format.

Optical design meets digital camera

performance characteristics

Tamron’s “Internal Surface Coatings”* and new

multiple-layer coating technology on ordinary

elements reduce ghosting and flare that happens

due to reflections that can occur when light

enters the lens as well as reflections caused

by the imager itself. The strictest quality control

standards were also applied to increase resolution

performance and prevent flare due to aberrations,

resulting in a high-power zoom lens ideal

for photography with digital SLR cameras. This

is one lens you can use with confidence.

* Multi-layer coatings on cemented surfaces of plural elements

A 7x zoom complete

with true macro capability

With this one 7x zoom lens, you can enjoy the

full range of varying perspectives — from a wide

28mm to a 200mm telephoto (43mm to 310mm*

for a digital SLR camera). The lens also offers a

minimum focus distance of 0.49m over the entire

zoom range, and achieves a maximum magnification

ratio of 1:4. This lets you enjoy true macro

photography so that you can capture colorful

close-ups of gorgeous

flowers,

rare insects, or the

fine detail of historic

buildings that

you discover during

your travels.

* When converted to 35mm

film format.
