FUN-TIVITY
It’s easy to be a fun family on a weekend. No school. No work. Everyone can cut loose
when it’s Saturday and Sunday. But, here are a few ideas to make Monday through
Friday just as fun as the weekends for the whole family.
Mommy Monday
• Bring mom orange juice in bed.
• Make a special newspaper with news stories all about your mom.
• At dinner, take turns telling your favorite story about mom.
• Put on a special talent show. No hidden talents? Try juggling, at least it will
be funny.
HINT: This doesn’t have to be for mom. It could be Dad Monday or Brother
Monday. Just pick someone and make them feel special.

Tacky Tuesday
• Each member of the family gets to pick out what another member gets to
wear to dinner. Time to pull out that crazy shirt.
• See who in the family can do their hair the craziest. Bonus points for the
tallest hair.
• See who can say the phrase, “Tommy Two Twin tapped a tepid tiger timidly”
the most in 30 seconds.
• See who can balance a plastic cup of water on their head the longest.
(Maybe do this one outside on the grass.)
HINT: If you’re really adventurous, let the family pick the clothes you’ll wear
to work or school that day.

• Do one thing that makes someone else feel loved.
• Do one thing that makes you feel small.
• Do one thing that involves running really fast ... but not too fast.
• Do one thing that requires ice cream.
HINT: One-thing Wednesday could also be Two-things Wednesday – once
you complete the list, repeat the list.

Thinking Thursday
• Think of one way you can thank your teacher today.
• Think of two people you know who you can give a hug to today.
• Think of three things you have that you could give to someone who needs
them a little more. Example: Take some of your older toys to a donation center.
• Think of four secret handshakes you and your family can use.
HINT: Don’t just think about these things; go out and do them.

Photo Friday
• Pull out the photo albums. Everyone has to pick their favorite family photo.
• Go for a family walk. No cell phones allowed.
• Unplug the TV and see who can tell the funniest joke or do the best
impression of another family member.
• Take that big pile of unsorted socks in the laundry room and sort them
together. Many hands make light work and fun times.
HINT: Fridays can fill up fast, so make sure the family plans ahead by clearing all
sleepovers, dinners and appointments for this Friday.
