With BALARDO you enjoy creative freedom even <strong>for</strong> glass<br />

applications. The high transparency and the variety of<br />

combination possibilities of BALARDO fi t in with every kind of<br />

decoration.<br />

The unobtrusive system is suitable <strong>for</strong> every individual glass<br />

design, and harmoniously matches the effect of every motif or<br />

pattern. Whether printed or coloured PVB film – no limits are<br />

set to your creativity.<br />

BALARDO is a type-inspected all-glass railing system <strong>for</strong> fallsafe<br />

glazing of Category B. In order to achieve the maximum<br />

degree of safety, only composite safety glass (CSG) is used.<br />

All of BALARDO´s safety advantages, certifications<br />

and tests are already applicable <strong>for</strong> glass thicknesses<br />

starting from 12 mm (2 x 6 mm).<br />

XtraCryl<br />

High-transparency adhesive tape on polyacrylate basis, self-adhesive on both sides, has excellent<br />

tack immediately after application, and offers a high level of application reliability shortly after<br />

installation. XtraCryl has outstanding resistance to ageing, weathering, temperature and solvents,<br />

and is also suitable <strong>for</strong> bonding rough materials, and <strong>for</strong> the permanent bonding of glass, metal,<br />

mirrors to DIN EN 1036 and many plastics.<br />

Tensions in the bonding joint are reduced, and the strength of the adhesive connection increases<br />

greatly with the bonding duration. We recommend XtraCryl particularly <strong>for</strong> the installation of CSG<br />

mirrors and <strong>for</strong> the bonding of cast resin panes.<br />

Introduction<br />

Solution suggestions <strong>for</strong> on-site connections<br />

The use of the building connections 1 to 9 offered in the BALARDO system accessories is not essential <strong>for</strong><br />

complying with the general building test certificate (AbP) – this also applies <strong>for</strong> individual building connections.<br />

All conceivable building connections may there<strong>for</strong>e be used, depending on the specifi c properties of the<br />

object.<br />

Planners and builders are completely free in the choice of the building connections, although these must be<br />

structurally dimensioned, according to the relevant installation situation, with regard to load introduction<br />

and transmission.<br />

The same also applies <strong>for</strong> inner and outer facing panels: these are not system-relevant!<br />

Be it aluminium, stainless steel, plasterboard, wood or other materials – you have the choice. The on-site<br />

panelling is not affected by the general building test certificate (AbP).<br />
