the organizations you’ll help through your pack donation to
the Mountain Fund, www.mountainfund.org.
Empowering Women of Nepal - Pokhara Nepal. A NOLS
style outdoor program for Nepali women designed to help
those women find employment in the trekking industry.
Climb High Foundation - Working with women in Uganda,
Climb High has worked to open up career opportunities for
women to work in the trekking and climbing industry.
The Alpine Fund - Located in Bishkek, The Alpine
Fund takes kids living in state run orphanages out for
mountain hikes and adventures to help them re-socialize
and form a support network that they will need to
make the transition from life in the state homes to life
in the real world.
Porter Groups - The Mountain Fund supports several
porter groups including IMEC, IPPG and Porters Progress
in Tanzania and Nepal, as well as their own porter support
program in Peru.
Big City Mountaineers - Provides urban teenage youth in
need of positive adult mentoring with challenging and safe
wilderness experiences led by qualified outdoor guides.
Boy Scouts - Supporting poor rural Boy Scout troops in
New Mexico and Colorado, your backpack will go to boys
who want to backpack with Boy Scouts and cannot afford
a pack.

Send Mountain Fund
Your Unused or Old Pack
Do you have an old daypack or backpack
collecting dust somewhere? That pack that didn’t
work for you can work wonders for someone else.
The Mountain Fund works for mountain communities
bringing health care, human rights, responsible tourism
and environmental progress. Many of these programs
need your old pack, from outdoor experience education
programs for kids in Bishkek to outdoor leadership
programs for women in Nepal. Your pack can be any
brand and any size. It must be washed and in good
condition with fabric, straps, buckles, harness and if
applicable, hipbelt intact. Mountain Fund is unable
to perform repairs. Send your pack with the Triple-R
Recycle Form to the Mountain Fund. See form in Blue
to right.
Once your pack is received and determined to
be in good condition, the Mountain Fund will send
you a “<strong>Pass</strong> on the <strong>Pass</strong>ion Email” thanking you
for your donation and detailing information on the
organization that will receive your pack. Save yourself
some hassle – don’t send a pack in condition that is
unusable by your fellow human being!

Now it’s time to go shopping!
Purchase a new Osprey pack at your favorite physical or
online retailer at full retail price. As a thank you for reusing
your old pack, Osprey will send you a 10% refund on the
cost of your pack (tax not included) along with a recycled
plastic waterproof neck capsule to keep your valuables safe.
To receive your refund, send us your original proof of
purchase with the Triple-R Redeem Form. See form in Red
to right.
Conf irmation and
your refund
Once we confirm your pack donation with the Mountain
Fund, your refund will be on the way! We’ll also return
your original proof of purchase for your records.
To Receive a Refund:
• Your old pack must be received and approved for
reuse by the Mountain Fund by 1/15/08.
• Your new Osprey Pack must be purchased between
3/1/07 and 12/31/07.
• Please be sure that your old pack is clean, in good
repair and functional. If it is deemed unusable,
Mountain Fund will need to discard the pack, or if
you request, send it back to you at your expense.
• Osprey will only accept original receipts from your
new Osprey Pack purchase. We will return your
original receipt with your refund check.
