53 Bobby Wilson showed <strong>the</strong> author this site <strong>and</strong> its features during a tour<br />
of <strong>the</strong> l<strong>and</strong> in July 1996. He also showed <strong>the</strong> author a photograph of <strong>the</strong> Trammell<br />
family taken during 1890s in front of <strong>the</strong> grape vine, but unfortunately <strong>the</strong> photo<br />
could not be copied. According to Bobby Wilson, <strong>the</strong> spring only ran in wet wea<strong>the</strong>r,<br />
but his information was based on <strong>the</strong> experiences of <strong>the</strong> Trammell family. It may<br />
have run continuously when <strong>the</strong> Welches moved onto <strong>the</strong> property before <strong>the</strong><br />
droughts that dried up a number of springs in <strong>the</strong> area.<br />
