Extended care available from 7:00 - 8:00 am and 4:00 - 6:00 pm daily. Additional fees apply.
Jump Start is for students entering grades 6-8
[Session I] and those entering 9th grade [Session II].
The program is geared towards students who
may have struggled in school during the previous
year, and who may benefit from a short-term
“back-to-school readiness” program aimed at
improving student skills for the upcoming academic
year. Students will also make new friends and
have fun engaging in hands-on activities, sports,
art and more!

Lawrence School is an independent, coeducational
day school serving students with language-based
learning differences and challenges focusing attention.
With our small classes, unique curricula, and hands-on
learning opportunities, we provide students from
nearly 70 communities and 10 counties throughout
northeast Ohio with the tools and strategies they
need to become successful learners.
Lawrence School has two campus locations. The Lower
School campus in Broadview Heights serves students in
grades 1-6, while the 47-acre Upper School campus
in Sagamore Hills serves students in grades 7-12. Both
locations are central to the greater Cleveland and
Akron areas.
MORNING

8:00 - 11:45 am – Instruction in Academic
[Student] Skills
Monday n Organizational Skills and Time Management,
including Successfully Completing Homework.
Tuesday n Study/Test -Taking Skills for classroom-based
and standardized testing situations.
Wednesday n Note-Taking and Summarization Skills to
improve reading comprehension using Joan Sedita’s Key
Comprehension Routine.
Thursday n Technology resources that can make reading,
note-taking and organization easier and more intuitive.
Friday n All Day Field Trip – Exciting
location to be announced!
Lunch: 11:45 am - 12:15 pm daily
AFTERNOON
12:15 - 4:00 pm – Activities and Special Events
Monday n Weird Science – Lawrence School science
faculty will lead experiments and activities designed to
entertain and amaze!
Tuesday n Sports and More – Move through rotations
of sports and activities designed to keep body and mind
active, including basketball, soccer and baseball.
Wednesday n Tech Mania – From making your own
video, to some time to game with your friends, spend
some time learning new and exciting ways to
engage with technology.
Thursday n Art in Motion – Learn about the world of
the theatre, and maybe even perform on stage. Complete
a cool art project to share with someone – or just keep
for yourself.
Friday n All Day Field Trip – Exciting Location to
be announced!
4:00 - 6:00 pm – Extended care [additional fee]

n $225 for full day program [8:00 am - 4:00 pm]
n $150 for half day program [8:00 - 11:45 am]
Extended Care Options
n $25 for AM Extended care [7:00 - 8:00 am]
n $50 for PM Extended care [4:00 - 6:00 pm]
n $70 for AM and PM Extended care
[7:00 - 8:00 am and 4:00 - 6:00 pm]
Fees and Extended Care Options based on entire
week. A deposit of 50% of the total program cost will
be required upon acceptance.
