This fee gives our neighbors the opportunity to register for recreation department programs, leagues, classes and special events at a reduced rate. This brochure identifies the rate as Upp. We are happy to serve our residents and welcome our Upp neighbors. Early Bird Discount is an opportunity associated with several classes throughout the brochure. The discount gives you $5 off the program fee if you register before the date listed for that specific program. Look for this logo and the registration deadline to save $5 on programs. Phone-in Registration To help service our customers better the Recreation Department will now accept phone-in registration with credit card payments if you currently have a household account with us. Now you can register online, by fax, in person, by mail and by phone. NEED A HOUSEHOLD ACCOUNT? _____________________________________REGISTRATION INFORMATION Registration: Registration may be made in-person, by mail, fax or online. Payments may be made by cash, check, credit card, or from account. If you are an existing customer with us, phone registrations will now be accepted by credit card only. There will be a $35 processing fee assessed for checks returned for insufficient funds. Registration Policies: Anyone residing outside the boundaries of the Village of Palos Park must pay the non-resident fee for activities. Those that live in the 60464 Unincorporated Palos Park (Upp) area will receive a discount that is identified Upp within this book. The Recreation Department of the Village of Palos Park assumes no responsibility for personal injuries or loss of personal property while attending a Recreation Department sponsored activity. Minimum and Maximum: All classes have a minimum and maximum number of participants. Programs may be cancelled due to low enrollment. A waitlist is formed once the registration has reached the maximum. Participants will be removed from the waitlist and enrolled if space becomes available. Payment is due before attending class. The Recreation Department reserves the right to change instructors listed for the programs to benefit the best interest of the participants. Refunds: If the Recreation Department cancels a program a full refund will be issued. If our customer cancels there will be a processing fee of $5.00 on all refunds There will be NO REFUNDS issued before the start of the second class, no exceptions. Refunds are issued by check within 3-4 weeks , credited back to credit card or may be held on an account with the Recreation Department. Special Events and Trips: Participants who withdraw from a special event or trip at least 14 working days prior will receive a refund less the processing fee. Senior Citizen Discount: Senior Citizens age 65 and older may receive a 10% discount on any adult activity excluding trips, special events, and Senior Wellness class. The Palos Park Recreation Department accepts online registration. The first step to registering online is to create a family account. How do I Request an Online Family Account Go to www.activenet15.active.com/palospark. Click “Request Account” or “My Account”. Each request will take two business days to be approved before you can begin registering online. Although you can always browse program information online, you will not be able to register until your account has been approved. Please create only one account per family. Fill out all required information for the Head of household ONLY, including the birth date, then click “Submit”. Your request will then be sent to the Recreation Department. You will receive an email notifying you that the account request has been approved. Once the family account is approved you will be able to add information for other family members. Be sure to remember your login and password! How Do I Access My Family Account? Once your family account has been approved, go to www.activenet15.active.com/palospark to log in. Click the “My Account” button in the top right-hand corner of your screen. From there, you will be able to add family members to your account, change your personal information, register for activities, view a list of your transactions or a daily schedule for your family, and more. How Do I Add Family Members? To add other family members to your account, select “Change Information about Family Members”. Fill out the form provided for each member of your family, including birthdates, if the members are children or adults, and any medical alerts of which our staff should be made aware. (An accurate birth date is important to determine registration eligibility for age-based programs). Photographs: By registering for our programs, participants consent to the use of their pictures taken. We Love Parents But…. Unless otherwise stated, please do not remain in the classroom after you have dropped your child off. Interruptions tend to affect participants’ attention spans and inhibit the establishment of peer relationships. Parents are welcome to attend their child's first class.
