Despite the unpredictable weather that we have had recently, it’s a relief to say that winter is over, school is out, and it’s time to take our vacations and soak in the sun. As you all know, our community and surrounding area offers year-round natural beauty. If you’re going to stick around the area this summer, you are sure to have countless opportunities to have fun with your family. Be sure to come out to these annual PalosPark events that are guaranteed to be fun for the whole family! Mayor John Mahoney Flag Day Celebration– On Thursday, June 13th please join us on the Village Green at 6:30p.m. for an evening of patriotic music and fun. The Southwest Community Concert Band will present America through the eyes of Movies and Broadway. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic basket and join your neighbors and friends for a fun evening on the Village Green. Concert in the Park– On Thursday, June 20th please join Palos Fine Arts on the Village Green for that summer evening picnic atmosphere. Enjoy local food vendors, beer, wine, and spirits. The dance floor will be open as you listen to the musical talents of the Outcast Jazz Band, a band that plays big band jazz and a smattering of Van Morrison, Paul Simon, and Ray Charles. Festivities begin at 5:30p.m. with the band beginning at 7:00p.m.
