Introducing the people behind the ILF<br />
James S<strong>and</strong>erson, Chief Operating<br />
Officer <strong>and</strong> Deputy Chief Executive<br />
James oversees service delivery,<br />
social work <strong>and</strong> performance<br />
improvement. He is responsible<br />
for ensuring that we continue to<br />
deliver excellent service to our users,<br />
<strong>and</strong> is heavily involved in ILF’s new<br />
externally focused agenda.<br />
Steve Jarratt, Resources Director<br />
Steve joined the ILF on 15 March<br />
20<strong>10</strong> <strong>and</strong> takes over responsibility<br />
for all finance, HR, IT, facilities <strong>and</strong><br />
governance matters, reporting<br />
directly to the Chief Executive.<br />
Jesse Harris, Social Work Director<br />
Jesse is responsible for ensuring<br />
high st<strong>and</strong>ards of social work <strong>and</strong><br />
quality assurance with regard to<br />
independent living outcomes. He<br />
is also responsible for relationships<br />
with local authorities <strong>and</strong> users,<br />
complaints <strong>and</strong> review processes.<br />
John Denore, Operations Director<br />
John is responsible for service<br />
delivery incorporating: application<br />
processing, ongoing casework,<br />
payments to users, <strong>and</strong> the biennial<br />
review programme through the<br />
management of operations teams<br />
<strong>and</strong> self-employed assessors.<br />
Gillian Smith, Human Resources<br />
Director<br />
Gillian is responsible for HR strategy<br />
within the ILF. This includes<br />
employment policy, employee<br />
relations, learning <strong>and</strong> development,<br />
<strong>and</strong> recruitment. Gillian ensures that<br />
HR policies are legally compliant <strong>and</strong><br />
provides professional HR guidance to<br />
Trustees <strong>and</strong> senior management.<br />
Gary Stephenson, Finance Director<br />
Gary is responsible for financial<br />
management <strong>and</strong> liaison with<br />
internal <strong>and</strong> external audit. He<br />
also has overall responsibility for<br />
IT, payment security, facilities,<br />
procurement, <strong>and</strong> health <strong>and</strong> safety.<br />
John Fuller, Strategic Policy Director<br />
John is responsible for developing<br />
options for the role <strong>and</strong> contribution<br />
of the ILF in line with Government<br />
strategy towards disabled people,<br />
<strong>and</strong> for the development <strong>and</strong><br />
communication of policy.<br />
Rol<strong>and</strong> Knell, Governance Director<br />
Rol<strong>and</strong> is responsible for corporate<br />
governance, including risk<br />
management, business continuity<br />
planning, records management, data<br />
security <strong>and</strong> data h<strong>and</strong>ling, business<br />
planning <strong>and</strong> communications.<br />
