Postfact approval to pay Jam Digital Media of <strong>Tulsa</strong>, Oklahoma, for providing<br />
consulting services for the digital media strand of the Magnet <strong>Schools</strong><br />
Assistance Program (MSAP) at Webster High School from February 2009<br />
through May 2009. Contact person – Phil Garland<br />
Total cost not to exceed $19,500 will be paid from 0-11-7763-50-2213-3200-<br />
100-0000-000-05-740.<br />
RATIONALE: Mr. John Mercado of Jam Digital Media conducted a<br />
project-based training course in Final Cut Studio 2 software. He worked with<br />
Tracy Ogle, Webster vocational education teacher, and Webster students for<br />
video production instruction courses and created master video templates for<br />
the Webster yearbook on DVD. Webster site personnel failed to obtain a<br />
signed contract or have a purchase order in place prior to Mr. Mercado<br />
working at the site. The sum to be paid is available from relevant funds that<br />
will be reimbursed pursuant to the MSAP grant. Webster site personnel<br />
have stated that Mr. Mercado’s work was of great benefit to the MSAP<br />
Program at Webster.<br />

Approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the District and the<br />
<strong>Tulsa</strong> Classroom Teachers Association (TCTA) for the 2009-2010 school<br />
year.<br />
RATIONALE: The current negotiated language defines the school year as<br />
183 contract days. It is the desire of the District to extend the days at<br />
alternative education sites, including TRAICE satellite programs, for the<br />
2009-2010 school year from 183 days to 190 days. This represents a total<br />
of seven additional school days. The salary for the additional days will be<br />
based on the negotiated agreement.<br />

Recommendation submitted by Chief Information Officer, Mr. Todd Lee<br />
F-3.<br />
Amend item E-18, page 11 of the June 1, 2009, Agenda to reduce the<br />
contract renewal amount for Infor Global Solutions, Atlanta, Georgia.<br />
The amount not to exceed $400,000 (Walker Financials) will be charged to<br />
0-11-0000-50-2560-4320-000-0000-000-02-056.<br />
FURTHER RECOMMEND that the attorney for the School District review<br />
and approve the amended contract and the proper officers of the Board of<br />
Education be authorized to execute the contract on behalf of the District.<br />
RATIONALE: This maintenance and licensing agreement provides<br />
support to the District’s financials system. The item foir renewal was<br />
originally submitted and approved in the amount of $506,617.29.<br />
Subsequent negotiations have reduced this amount to $400,000, saving the<br />
District $106,617.29.<br />

Authorize continued membership as a partner with the Metropolitan Human<br />
Services Commission (MHSC) for the 2009-2010 fiscal year.<br />
The annual fee in the amount of $24,000 will be charged to 0-11-0000-50-<br />
2321-8100-000-0000-000-09-091.<br />
RATIONALE: <strong>Tulsa</strong> <strong>Public</strong> <strong>Schools</strong> was a founding organization of this<br />
Commission with continuous participation which includes both the<br />
Superintendent and Board President as commissioners. The annual<br />
membership fees from participating members funds the activities and staff<br />
support of the commission relative to its activities. MHSC priorities include<br />
improving and expanding early childhood development, care, and education;<br />
preventing child abuse; improving education outcomes through collaboration<br />
at the neighborhood level between schools and community resources;<br />
enhancing local/state coordinated decision making; and, advocating for<br />
needed new state revenue to support related programs and services.<br />
