Power you can feel, innovative battery technology for greater
flexibility, revolutionary technology that makes the tightest curve
feel like you are cutting in a straight line – it’s the combination of
outstanding features that makes the new CARVEX PS 400 such an
exceptional jigsaw. An amazingly durable, energy-saving EC-TEC
motor powered by lithium ion technology ensures powerful, rapid
cutting progress. It’s lightweight, handy and ergonomic, with
clever switch positions for added convenience. It’s available in
cordless and mains-powered versions – in both barrel-grip and
D-handle styles. Impressive accuracy in any shape or form, it’s
optimised for excellent results.
Integrated in the Festool system, the CARVEX is an amazingly
flexible and versatile saw that boasts features such as tool-less
base changes as well as circle cutters, guide rails and changeable
baseplates for wood, metal and delicate surfaces.

and corners? Pure excitement!
Although extremely powerful, the 800 watt motor actually consumes
30 % less energy – not a contradiction in terms, just a guarantee of
greater efficiency from the EC-TEC motor and innovative gearing. An
impressive 80 % of the power generated by the machine is transferred
to the saw blade, which you can feel as the CARVEX cuts through table
and kitchen worktops, hardwood and metal. The advantage of low
energy requirements during battery operation are obvious: power to
match a mains-powered tool and extended run time.

The EC-TEC motor on the CARVEX generates outstanding cutting power and
does not have carbon brushes that heat up and wear at high speeds. The
EC-TEC is also lighter and more compact than conventional motors, achieves
a higher degree of efficiency and offers heaps of power.

The CARVEX is a specialist in sweeping
curves and tight corners. The saw cuts
smoothly and effortlessly around every curve
and the guidance jaws hold the saw blade in
the right position. The jaws adjust automatically
to the thickness of the blade to deliver
the unparalleled cutting characteristics of
the CARVEX - precision guidance along the
scribe mark and perfect cutting results, even
around tight curves.

undercuts from 0 to 45 degrees with the
quick-change bevel base.
Versatile extension options. The circle
cutter was designed for cutting radii
between 34 mm and 1.50 m. When installed
in the Compact Module System CMS, the
PS 400 becomes a scroll saw.

Splinter-free cuts at a precise angle, perfectly round or dead straight – whatever
the cut or material, chips and dust are always extracted efficiently. Anyone who
owns a CARVEX can make use of the complete Festool system to increase their
efficiency – from splinterguards, to circle cutters, to blades, blade to mobile dust
extractors. Accessories are fitted without tools and ready to use in no time at all:
baseplates just click into position and bases with rapid change interface are easy
to replace. Want to make complex cuts quickly and accurately? The Carvex can
be used with a guide rail or in the Compact Module System by using the Adapter
base.

For tight bends. The guidance jaws adjust automatically to different blade
thicknesses for maximum precision around the tightest of curves and keeping
the blade on course. Saw blades are easy to change with one hand and without
tools.
More power from less energy. The brushless EC-TEC motor and innovative
gearing transfer more than 80 % of the power generated by the motor to the saw
blade. For fast results in any material.
Particularly efficient with lithium ion batteries. They are durable, lightweight,
never discharge by themselves and can be recharged at any time – with no
memory effect. The CARVEX is compatible with all Festool battery packs from
the T, C and TDK series cordless drill/drivers.
Work more easily in any position. CARVEX weighs only 1.9 kg* is slim, ergonomic,
has a non-slip softgrip coating and on/off switches mounted on both sides for
right and left-handed operation. The D-handle version also has a centrally
located switch.
Rapid results without interruptions. The plug it cable pivots to 90° to shorten
the overall length of the tool by 10 cm, making the CARVEX much easier to
manoeuvre.
Precise cutting along the scribe mark. The strobe light illuminates the working
area, while the dust extractor and blower keep the cutting area clear of debris
for an excellent view of the scribe line.
