Catherine LeVasseur<br />
Catherine LeVasseur is the former Youth Chair of the Connecticut Coalition to Stop <strong>Underage</strong> <strong>Drinking</strong>. She<br />
became a presenter at the young age of 17 for youth leadership and underage drinking prevention at the local,<br />
State, and national levels. She was instrumental in the successful passage of the Social Host Law in 2006. Ms.<br />
LeVasseur currently coordinates compliance check operations statewide, provides technical assistance to community<br />
coalitions, and serves as the SADD State Coordinator.<br />
Jack Levine<br />
Jack Levine is Program Director of the National Association of Youths Courts. He previously served as President<br />
of Voices for Florida’s Children. Mr. Levine is a public policy and strategic communications consultant. He has a<br />
master’s degree in child development and family studies from Purdue University.<br />
Brian Lis<br />
Officer Brian Lis has been with the Detroit Police Department since 1997. As a patrol officer for the Central<br />
District, he works the downtown area of Detroit, which has become an easy target for party promoters to host<br />
rave parties in unoccupied buildings.<br />
Derek Longmeier<br />
Derek Longmeier is an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist II who has been involved in the field of alcohol,<br />
tobacco, and other drug abuse prevention for more than 16 years. He works at Drug-Free Action Alliance and<br />
serves as Project Director for the Parents Who Host, Lose the Most: Don’t be a Party to Teenage <strong>Drinking</strong> public<br />
awareness campaign. He also manages Drug Free 24/7 the way to go! and the Drug-Free Action Alliance Youth<br />
Philanthropy Council.<br />
Nathan Lowe<br />
Nathan Lowe is a Research Associate with the American Probation and Parole Association. He received his M.S.<br />
in correctional and juvenile justice studies from Eastern Kentucky University in 2007. He has authored several<br />
publications, including peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and a monograph. Mr. Lowe previously<br />
worked in adult and juvenile corrections in Kentucky for 5 years in roles such as assessment specialist, sex offender<br />
counselor, and community intensive supervision program coordinator.<br />
R.J. Lurquin<br />
Sgt. R.J. Lurquin has been with the Dane County Sheriff’s Office for 21 years, where he is a Traffic Sergeant<br />
Safety Specialist. Primary duties include the writing and administering of all Dane County Sheriff Office Traffic<br />
Grants, and supervising the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Dedicated Traffic Team and Crash Reconstruction<br />
Team. He authored and administered a Critical Traffic Investigation/Dedicated Prosecutor grant, which pays for a<br />
dedicated prosecutor to handle all traffic-related crimes in Dane County.<br />
Frank Lyons<br />
Frank Lyons is a retired 29-year law enforcement veteran, serving at the local, county, and State levels. For 23<br />
years, he served as an officer with the Maine Liquor <strong>Enforcement</strong> until the abolishment of the agency in 2003.<br />
