San Diego is located just a 90 minute drive from Anaheim, and whilst it is a great destination for a day trip – if you have the
time we recommend you to spend at least a few nights to really soak up all that this beautiful coastal city has to offer. As well
as being home to world class attractions such as San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park and SeaWorld, San Diego also
boasts over 100km of pristine beaches and offers great shopping and dining in it’s beautiful downtown harbour area and
historic Gas Lamp District. To the south, it’s a whole different county, as just across the border lies Mexico. Mexican
destinations such as Tijuana, Rosarito and Ensenada can all be easily enjoyed as day excursions from San Diego.
MUST SEE & DO
• Head off on an enchanting Animal Safari at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park,
or explore the wonders of the ocean at SeaWorld California.
• Head south of the border and take a day trip into Mexico. Choose from
either a half day shopping in Tijuana or a full day along the Baja Coast
to Ensenada.
• Take a trip across to Coronado Island and enjoy it’s many cafés and white
sandy beaches.
• Enjoy the nightlife and restaurants in the quaint Gaslamp Quarter.
• Visit Balboa Park, the largest urban cultural park in the United States and
often referred to as the “Smithsonian of the West”. It’s 1200 acres are
home to more than a dozen museums, art galleries and of course – world
famous San Diego Zoo!
