DESCRIPTION

The program offers a balanced combination of the following skills, which allow

students to improve their language level in a real immersion setting:

• Oral comprehension and expression.

• Written comprehension and expression.

• Online access to the Instituto Cervantes’ Spanish Virtual Classroom.

OBJECTIVE

The aim of the course is to equip students with the tools they need to improve

their knowledge of Spanish through a high-quality education only available from

STUDENT PROFILE

Undergraduate and graduate students from all academic areas that would like to

learn about sports entities management models in a highly understandable and very

practical way. A good level of English is required.

DESCRIPTION

The program includes visits to sports entities renowned for their management

model.

Day one is devoted to a visit to the Real Madrid training ground at Valdebebas,

where real professionals will be your teachers.

On Tuesday, the sessions are focused on tennis and basketball and include

visits to facilities such as the Caja Mágica and Palacio de Deportes as well as

meeting with those responsible for organizing the Mutua Madrileña Tennis

Open and the 2014 Basketball World Championship.

Wednesday is the day to visit various fitness facilities, ranging from luxury to

low cost gymnasiums. You will also meet with the managers of the Triathlon

Federation and discuss a case study with some of their members and sports

sponsors.

On Thursday, there will be a visit to the Olympic facilities and athlete

residences, as well as to the Madrid Soccer Federation facilities where sessions

will be taught by marketing and merchandising managers for the Spanish

National team.

The program will close on Friday with a sessions held at Santiago Bernabéu

Stadium, once again in collaboration with Real Madrid professionals. In addition,

students will have the chance to attend different sporting events taking place

during the course.

STUDENT PROFILE

Geared towards participants on two levels:

• Professional Level. Dance professionals from Madrid, Spain and Europe

that are looking for the chance to make contact with renowned dance

figures to increase and refresh their knowledge.

• Intermediate Level. Any student or semi-professional with great

interest in the study and practice of movement, from a perspective of

dance, or even theater, body work, sport…

DESCRIPTION

Universidad Europea de Madrid, in collaboration with Teatros del Canal,

presents the first edition of ‘Swim on Dance’; a summer course that offers the

chance to take the plunge into the latest contemporary dance of the moment

alongside first-class professionals. As a celebration of the relevance and impact

of Dance in Israel in contemporary times, we invite some of its most prominent

artists to share their knowledge with our community.

The course has been designed to create a dynamic meeting place for both

participants and instructors, promoting a space for dialogue through lectures,

seminars, debates and forums.

‘Swim on Dance’ embraces diversity by offering two levels of participation. The

advanced level is open to all who practice dance on a regular basis, whether as

advanced students or professionals. The intermediate level offers a platform for

everyone who, whether through dance or other disciplines (theater, sport, body

work…) have a high level of interest in discovering and practicing movement

through the language of contemporary dance.

‘Swim on Dance/Nadar en Danza 2012’ is a unique opportunity to receive

first-hand knowledge of the work of pioneers of our time at one of the most

representative centers for performing arts in the world: Teatros del Canal.

These top facilities are located in a privileged cultural setting within the city

of Madrid, the a progressive capital city of reference in Europe. The course

guarantees an exceptional human experience through which all participants

may enjoy, share and learn about their artistic concerns.

Israeli dance.

dance; from technique, through creation to critique and discussion.

To encourage participants to enjoy themselves, learn and share in an open,

exciting environment, with a commitment to quality and based on the premise

that dance is a right for each and every person.

ACADEMIC PROGRAM

• Lectures - with a practical focus, designed to learn about the latest dance

techniques in Israel.

• Repertoir workshop - an opportunity to learn about the choreographic

material that has made dance in Israel famous.

• Composition workshop - experiment with tools to compose and create

outstanding choreographys.

• New Body Work techniques - anatomy applied to Dance.

• Debates, forums and seminars geared towards gaining in-depth knowledge

of the visions of guest artists and their potential impact on today’s stages.

• Audiovisual projections - these spaces are designed to offer the most

comprehensive perspective of the Israeli stage, promoting a closer look at the

work that may often fall outside the circuit in Spain.

DESCRIPTION

This second edition of the course on Leadership and Managerial Skills is

particularly geared towards students from various Laureate Universities,

particularly from the academic areas of Social Sciences, Administration and

Business.

The course lasts one week and its main objective is to develop managerial

skills to improve the profile of both current students and future professionals.

As a result the issues dealt with are closely related to the development of

competences including teamwork, leadership, interpersonal communication

or research-based learning. All these are combined with cultural and leisure

activities to make the most of a trip such as this.

The importance of energy in today’s society and its impact on the environment

and wellbeing of the human race is studied. A sustainable energy system must

be developed on the basis of solid knowledge of facilities and efficient use of

both renewable and non-renewable energies, as well as knowledge of passive

design systems. A good energy audit and resource management of a building is

a fundamental necessity for reducing energy demand and complying with the

international guidelines regarding CO2 emissions.

OBJECTIVE

The course objective is linked to the mission of the School of Architecture,

where students learn about the tools and methodologies used for managing,

classifying and auditing the energy of new or existing building works, as well as

social and environmental responsibility.
