Jessie-Lee’s story “All I ever wanted was to be a mum, so when Jessie-Lee came along we knew she was an incredibly precious gift. She’s a social butterfly with a cheeky sense of humour like her father, so when she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, it was a real shock to the system... we didn’t know what to expect. Everyone deals with it in different ways, but we knew we’d do anything for Jessie-Lee. “Jessie-Lee has a lot of needs and financially it’s incredibly tough, so we haven’t always been able to meet them on our own. I think if other people could step into our shoes for just one day they’d realise it’s not easy and there’s lots of stress and worry involved. But thankfully, the staff at the Cerebral Palsy League really care. “On top of all the physical therapy and other support they provide for Jessie- Lee, they make a real effort to look after our whole family.
