Associate of Arts

About the Program

The Theatre Arts emphasis is designed to provide

performance opportunities in addition to first and second

year courses for the student seeking an Associate of Arts

degree with an emphasis in Theatre Arts. Successful

completion of the suggested curriculum will meet lower

division requirements of four-year institutions offering

a baccalaureate degree in Theatre Arts. The student will

have performance and academic opportunities that lead

to a basic knowledge of the theatre, its history, and its

place in contemporary society.

WNCC Productions

Several dramatic productions are presented each year.

All students are invited to participate both on-stage and

behind the scenes. Participation in all-college plays can

result in one academic credit or may be enjoyed as a noncredit

Pat Ennis

Theatre/Speech Instructor

Ms. Ennis has her Bachelor of

Arts in Speech and Theatre from

Youngstown State University in

Youngstown, Ohio and her Master

of Arts in Speech and Theatre from

Bowling Green State University in

Bowling Green, Ohio. She has been

active in the theatre since 1964,

and has been directing for the

stage since 1970. Since joining the

staff at WNCC she has produced

and directed The Gut Girls by Sara

Daniels, The Importance Of Being

Earnest by Oscar Wilde, and most

recently, Crimes of the Heart by

Beth Henley.
