Interested in how to buy tickets to the
greatest two minutes in sports?
The Louisville CVB starts accepting phone
calls for Derby Packages after January 1.

exact date.The package cost, which includes
tickets and a hotel room (with a minimum
3-night stay) is billed immediately upon
purchase. Refunds are not available. Questions

Just looking for a hotel room for the
first Saturday in May?
The Louisville CVB offers hotel accommodations
year-round through its website and call
center, and Derby rooms are often available
through late-April.
Dining Tips
Most fine restaurants in Louisville offer an
abbreviated menu on Derby Day, and reservations
are highly recommended.
Come Early and Celebrate Like a Local
Once called the Superbowl and Mardi Gras
rolled into one by Magic Johnson, Louisville
has taken a famous two minutes and made it a
two-week party. Experience “A World of Fun”
by coming early to one of 70 events of the
Kentucky Derby Festival, starting with the
nation’s largest fireworks event, Thunder Over
Louisville, held downtown on the Ohio River.
