Celfa Dental Group Acquires Castellini
Italy — Celfa Dental
Group has reinforced its
position in the dental unit
sector with its latest
100% acquisition of
Castellini SpA, which
specializes in the
development of systems
for disinfection and
sterilisation applications,
as well as with regard to ergonomics.
Despite the acquisition, Cefla Dental Group will maintain and
implement the
distinctive features of
Castellini products,
ensuring
improvement in terms
of quality and
performance.
Furthermore, the
current distribution
set-up will be
retained while, on the
other hand, Castellini will benefit from a significant “service
package” upon entry into a Group of larger dimensions.

Easy and Happy Brushing
Singapore — A new toothbrush, the Happy Brush, specially
designed for little teeth (children) has been introduced by the
Health Promotion Board (HPB) of Singapore.
The Happy Brush is designed to enable children to use the
‘scrub’ technique which they are most comfortable with and
yet allows them to achieve the same results as the more
complicated techniques. This is made possible through a
specially customized brush head and bristles. The Happy
Brush has a single head with a semi-circular arc. Bristles are
inserted into this arc to allow it to cap all the surfaces of a
few teeth at a time. The shape and design of the Happy
Brush also enables impatient toothbrushers, who tend to
neglect the harder to reach areas, to brush those areas
easily.
“It is important to inculcate the habit of toothbrushing from a
young age. The Happy Brush debunks the notion that
toothbrushing is a chore, making it easier for children to get
into a toothbrushing routine that they will more likely followthrough
to adulthood. Good dental health in adulthood
begins from childhood,” said Dr Eu Oy Chu, Senior Deputy
Director, School Dental Service, HPB.

Int’l Expodental Incorporated 1st Expodental Forum
Italy — Italy’s premier dental exhibition, International
Expodental, will be incorporating the first Expodental Forum
in its edition this year. The forum will be a series of courses,
conventions and workshops for all dental professionals and
those working dentistry.
The Forum, planned and organised in collaboration with
Quadra Service and promoted by the UNIDI (Italian Dental
Industries Association) will take place every morning for the
entire duration of the exhibition, from 9:30 to 13:30. It will be
held in the various halls of the Convention Centre, with
individual or joint sessions for professional categories
(Dental Surgeon / Dental Technician, Dental Specialist /
Surgery Assistant, Industrials / Commercial Operators, etc.).
The afternoons will be used for technological workshops set
up and organised by exhibitors.
The Scientific Committee will be coordinated by Dr Andrea
Paolinelli, President of Quadra Service, and will include
esteemed professionals like Mr Roberto Bonfiglioli, Dr Aldo
Nobili, and Dr Marisa Roncati Parma Benfenati.
