■ ■ ■ ■ If your operating environment contains an enterprise management console, you can optionally configure agents to send trapped events to the console using the SNMP service. The SNMP service is included with the operating environment and is installed after installing the TCP/IP protocol stack. If you want the servers on your network to send SNMP traps to the enterprise management console, see “Email and SNMP” on page 229. Optional. To install and use Sun StorEdge Diagnostic Reporter, a companion utility of Sun StorEdge Configuration Service that reports your storage system events to specified email addresses, refer to the Sun StorEdge 3000 Family Diagnostic Reporter User’s Guide. Optional. To use multipathing, Sun StorEdge Traffic Manager software for the Solaris operating environment is required (included in the Sun StorEdge SAN Foundation software). Refer to the “Other Supported Software” section in the release notes for your array for more information. Note – You must be a superuser to install Sun StorEdge Configuration Service and run the console. Installing Software Sun StorEdge Configuration Service includes the following components: ■ Sun StorEdge Configuration Service Agent. ■ Sun StorEdge Configuration Service Console. ■ Diagnostic Reporter (optional utility) – For installation and operation information, refer to the Sun StorEdge 3000 Family Diagnostic Reporter User’s Guide. ■ Command-Line Interface (CLI) – For installation information, refer to the Sun StorEdge 3000 Family Installation, Operation, and Service Manual for your array.
