CHILDREN IN NATURE PEI (NEW)
Spending time in nature is highly beneficial for children as they develop; helping them
mature into strong, observant and healthy individuals. Today, children and youth are more
disconnected from nature than ever. Children in Nature PEI is a nature-based active program
working to reconnect young islanders with nature. This program is designed to provide
support for after-school programs looking to get their members active in nature. Children
in Nature PEI provides children and youth with the opportunity to visit local natural areas,
learn about flora and fauna and take part in fun and engaging activities. They are introduced
to important nature-based themes, are encouraged to be physically active and learn the
importance of a healthy lifestyle and environment.
For more information or if you have an after-school group interested in getting active in nature
please contact Melissa at 892-3837 or visit www.childreninnaturepei.ca.
