The Green

Directions:

From 'The Green’ side of Criffel Street, follow the

footpath southwards to the docks, being careful when

crossing Lawn Terrace road end. Keeping the docks

on your right, follow the fence round and past all the

buildings. Bear right again where the road splits, heading

towards the sea front. Follow the signs for West Beach to

the second car park, where there’s an information board

showing wildlife you may spot along your way. Take the

path to the left of the board, down on to the sand. Walk

south along the beach, away from the town centre and

with the dunes on your left. When you are almost level

with the lighthouse which stands out to sea on your right,

you'll see an opening between the dunes to your left.

Go through this and follow the track that leads towards

the golf course. Where the path forks, turn left and join

the track which will take you past the nursing home.

Turn right at the docks and return to the church via the

footpath you used at the start of your walk.
