HOW TO USE ALLERJECT TM<br />

Practice With Allerject TM Tra<strong>in</strong>er First<br />

Allerject TM voice assisted auto <strong>in</strong>jectors are <strong>in</strong>dicated for the emergency treatment of<br />

anaphylactic reactions <strong>in</strong> patients who are determ<strong>in</strong>ed to be at <strong>in</strong>creased risk for anaphylaxis.<br />

Pull Allerject TM from<br />

the outer case.<br />

Do not go to step 2 until you<br />

are ready to use Allerject TM .<br />

If you are not ready to use,<br />

put it back <strong>in</strong> the outer case.<br />

Place BLACK<br />

end AGAINST<br />

the MIDDLE of<br />

the OUTER thigh<br />

(through cloth<strong>in</strong>g,<br />

if necessary), then<br />

press firmly and<br />

hold <strong>in</strong> place for<br />

five seconds.<br />

Pull off RED safety<br />

guard.<br />

To reduce the chance of an<br />

accidental <strong>in</strong>jection, do not<br />

touch the black base of the<br />

auto-<strong>in</strong>jector, which is where<br />

the needle comes out. If an<br />

accidental <strong>in</strong>jection happens,<br />

get medical help immediately.<br />

Only <strong>in</strong>ject <strong>in</strong>to the middle of the outer thigh (upper<br />

leg). Do not <strong>in</strong>ject <strong>in</strong>to any other location.<br />

NOTE: Allerject TM makes a dist<strong>in</strong>ct sound (click and<br />

hiss) when you press it aga<strong>in</strong>st your leg. This is<br />

normal and <strong>in</strong>dicates Allerject TM is work<strong>in</strong>g correctly.<br />

Seek immediate medical<br />

or hospital care.<br />

Replace the outer case and take your used Allerject TM<br />

with you to your pharmacist or physician for proper<br />

disposal and replacement.<br />

NOTE: The safety guard is<br />

meant to be tight.<br />

Pull firmly to remove.<br />

AFTER us<strong>in</strong>g Allerject TM<br />

seek immediate medical attention<br />

Please consult the Consumer Information leafl et <strong>in</strong> your product<br />

package for complete dosage and adm<strong>in</strong>istration <strong>in</strong>structions.<br />

With a severe, long-last<strong>in</strong>g allergic reaction, you may need to<br />

adm<strong>in</strong>ister an additional dose of ep<strong>in</strong>ephr<strong>in</strong>e. More than two<br />

sequential doses of ep<strong>in</strong>ephr<strong>in</strong>e should only be adm<strong>in</strong>istered<br />

under direct medical supervision.<br />

It is important that you seek immediate medical assistance or<br />

go to the emergency room immediately after us<strong>in</strong>g Allerject TM .<br />

Follow<strong>in</strong>g treatment, the patient must stay with<strong>in</strong> close proximity<br />

to a hospital or where they can call 911 for the next 48 hours. To<br />

ensure Allerject TM is right for you, always read and follow the label.<br />

How to store Allerject<br />

TM<br />

Keep your Allerject<br />

TM at room temperature. Do not refrigerate. Do not drop.<br />

Occasionally <strong>in</strong>spect your Allerject<br />

TM solution through the view<strong>in</strong>g w<strong>in</strong>dow.<br />

Replace your Allerject<br />

TM if it is discolored or conta<strong>in</strong>s solid particles (precipitate)<br />

or if there are any signs of leakage. The solution should be clear.<br />
