O Allah, bless Muhammad and his people, as You did bless Ibrahim and his people—You are indeed the Praiseworthy, the Exalted.

Prayer Timings 8

Abu Ayub Ansari relates that a man said: Messenger of Allah, that which

will cause me to be admitted to Paradise and will keep me away from the Fire.

He

answered: Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, observe

Prayer, pay the Zakat and join the ties of kinship.

(Bukhari, Kitabul Adab)

Writings of the Promised Messiah (as)

I say truly that if crying before God Almighty is in the

utmost humility, it moves His Grace and Mercy and

draws them. I can say it out of my own experience that I

have felt and seen the grace and mercy of God, which

come in the shape of the acceptance of prayer, pulling

towards themselves. If the dark-minded philosophers of

this age cannot feel it or see it, this verity cannot disappear

from the world, especially as I am ready at all times

to demonstrate the acceptance of prayer.

(AlHakam, Vol 5No. 28-34 July 31, September 17, 1901 reprinted in Malfoozat, V ol.I, p. 198).

Short Summaries of Friday Sermons

Summaries of Friday Sermons can be found on www.alislam.org - Now for your convenience, the Summary of the Friday Sermons are also available in

Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and PDF formats.

Please note that these are just summaries, readers are strongly advised to listen to the full audio or video recordings available online.

5 th August 2011 – „Everything will Perish except God‟; Life of Hadhrat Sahabzadi Nasira Begum Sahiba

Hudhur began the Friday Sermon today by reciting the Quranic verses: ‘All that is on it (earth) will pass

away. And there will remain only the Person of thy Lord, Master of Glory and Honour.’ (55:27 – 28).

Hudhur (aba) said that recently, his mother passed away. Inna lillahe wa inna illahe raji’oon

Hudhur (aba) explained her many qualities, including dignity, piety, high levels of worship, love for the Holy

Qur‟an, hospitality and high commitment to Tarbiyyat

Hudhur (aba) appealed that the readers of Al Fazl remember the dear daughter of Hadhrat Musleh Maud (may

Allah be pleased with him), his mother, in their prayers whose gold bangles were sold to raise funds for the

launch of this newspaper

Hudhur (aba) prayed may God bless her with Paradise.

12 th August 2011 – Ramadhan and servants of the Gracious God

The more the world needs to turn to God the further it is going away from Him. People severely lack to make

connection with God so that they can be saved from disorders and calamities and improve their future

After taking the Bai‟at of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) we need to instil the true spirit of

Ebaadur Rahman (servants of the Gracious God) in ourselves

The revolutionary change that Lord of all the worlds has announced to come about through the second

Ahmad, has now to be maintained by his followers

Today, it is the duty of each Ahmadi to save the world from troubles and to connect it to God and we cannot

truly fulfil this obligation until we attain high standards in our worship of God and try and be Ebaad of God

19 th August 2011 – Prayer begets prayer

If we truly understand that worship of God is the objective of our creation, we would become completely focussed

on this and disregard all else

Most Gracious God has taught us an obligatory prayer, ‘Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we

implore for help’ (1:5).When this prayer is offered with sincerity, God enables one to attain this purpose in life

By explaining extract from the Promised Messiah‟s writings, Hudhur (aba) expanded on the concept of essence

of worship concluding that Salat is core of worship

Those, who do not derive fulfilment in Salat should repeatedly recite ‘Thee alone do we worship and Thee

alone do we implore for help’ and seek refuge from Satan. Those who adopt this tirelessly, attain their objective

Hudhur prayed that may God enable us to put these gems of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) in

practice. Hudhur urged to intensify prayers in the remaining days of Ramadan

26 th August 2011 – Strive for real worship of Allah

Hudhur said the summary of his discourse last week was that in ‘Thee alone do we worship’ one is drawn to

God with sincerity to become His servant and in ‘Thee alone do we implore for help’ one prays for steadfastness

in being a servant of God.

The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) thus explained that one should make the prayer of: ‘Guide us in

the right path’ (1.6). This prayer is to have one‟s worship blessed and for one to be ever enabled to follow

guidance as a true servant of God.

Hudhur explained that this is the instruction for a believer; never leave the rope of prayer and steadfastness

and never be indolent in seeking guidance and always remember that one‟s resolve on remaining guided is

from God alone.

Elaborating the august writings of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) , Hudhur said, the prayer,

Guide us in the right path, is a tremendous prayer if done with persistence and resolve

Hudhur prayed that may God enable us to pray with sincerity and never make us those who, having received

guidance, become guilty of God‟s chastisement, who are led astray and thus destroy their life in this world as

well as their final end

Sultanul Qalam

Majlis Ansar Sultanul Qalam MKA UK was founded in 2005 in response to the directives of

Hazrat Khalifatul Masih Al-Khamis (atba) to form a body of Khuddam to respond to allegations

against Islam and its noble Prophet (PBUH). This group functions under the guidance and

supervision of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK. Sultan Al-Qalam was a title given by Allah to

the promised Messiah (as) and means „King of the Pen‟.

The team is involved in monitoring the web for press articles and media items that attack Islam

(or Ahmadiyyat specifically) and coordinating responses from our membership. We also liaise

with the Jama‟at International Press Department and circulate relevant Jama‟at Press Releases

with our responses. Through our monitoring we also collate and circulate „Interesting Reads‟ to

our membership on a weekly basis.

By the Grace of God Almighty, since 2005, the membership has grown to 276 UK Khuddam, 99

compilations of Interesting Reads & 53 Alerts have been issued to members (to rapidly respond

to media articles), 35 responses from the membership have been published and hundreds of

comments have been placed on websites & blogs.

Kindly please pray that God Almighty enables us to grow the group and increase its

effectiveness so that we may fulfill the divinely directed objectives that have been set out for us

below, Ameen!
