Overview

A Trainee Recruitment Consultant at Spencer Ogden has the access to some of the

best training available in the industry with in-house trainers who support you through

your first 3 months of employment including a 2 week intensive classroom based

“Graduate Academy”.

Trainee recruitment consultants are required to work hard and be very self-motivated,

this is a tough job and not for everyone. In reward for your efforts and successes

in the job, you will be paid a great basic salary, from a very generous uncapped

commission structure and other benefits as well as be eligible for multiple incentives

including holidays to New York and Las Vegas!

Overview

A successful candidate for this trainee recruitment consultant role will:

• Be a university graduate

• Have excellent communications skills, fluency in English is essential

• Be eligible to work in Singapore

• Ideally have some previous sales experience in a business to business

environment although this is not essential

• Possess a real desire for fast career progression

• Be driven, able to set personal goals and proactively monitor activity against

results

Roles & Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

• Develop a core understanding of the recruitment industry, the recruitment

process and specific market sector

• Supporting team members on the resourcing of specific roles for clientsusing

internal and external sourcing methods with success

• Building a database of quality candidates, building collaborative working

relationships with them and obtaining valuable market information

• Selling the services of Spencer Ogden resulting in candidate registration or

client engagement

• Identifying new clients for Spencer Ogden to work with via networking and

research, identifying key contacts within those organisations and maintaining

regular contact

• Providing sales material to clients to support canvas calls

• Taking detailed job specifications from clients, asking key questions in order

to qualify a role

• Monitor and maintain personal activity targets

Overview

Recruiting

• Screening candidates over the telephone, ascertaining information on skills

and experience whilst assessing competency and motivation

• Matching candidates to clients vacancies, submitting suitable candidates in

line with Company process

• Writing persuasive ad copy and broadcasting adverts to attract a good

calibre of candidate

• Dealing with response and enquiries, assessing suitability of candidates

• Arranging interviews for candidates with client, providing detailed

information to both parties

• Set personal targets with Managers on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Interpersonal

• Communicating via email, face to face and over the telephone maximizing

opportunity for the business as a whole

• Representing the Spencer Ogden Brand and yourself well at all times

Communicating issues in a timely manner

• Adhering to Best Practice Guideline in relation to use of system

• Articulating and contributing valuable ideas to team discussions, promoting

team work

Ad Hoc

• Any other duties that your manager may delegate

• Working outside of standard contract hours

• Attending industry events in own time

Overview

With the support of a Divisional Manager, develop an understanding of the team’s

key client base providing a resource service to the team as a whole. Utilizing

sourcing and networking tools to provide Clients with skilled and suitable candidates,
