Explanation. Soldiers are expected to be students of their military occupational<br />

specialty. The a<strong>for</strong>ementioned is accomplished in part by attending <strong>for</strong>mal<br />

military and civilian schooling throughout your career; seeking additional<br />

responsibility; and assisting peers and subordinates without being asked.<br />

Soldiers show their commitment to the <strong>Army</strong> and their specialty by per<strong>for</strong>ming<br />

their duties at all times and subordinating their personal welfare to that of others<br />

without expecting reward or recognition. Interpersonal, conceptual, technical,<br />

and tactical skills constitute what a leader must KNOW. <strong>Army</strong> leadership<br />

demands competence in a diverse range of human activities that expand in<br />

complexity in positions of greater responsibility.<br />

Develop in the Five Dimensions of Comprehensive Soldier<br />

Fitness<br />

Conditions: You are a Soldier in a military organization serving both on<br />

and off duty. You have AKO access <strong>for</strong> the GAT and comprehensive<br />

resilience modules; a unit resilience training program; a unit physical<br />

readiness training (PRT) program; and AR 350-1, TC 3-22.20, and AR<br />

600-9.<br />

Standards: Develop in the five dimensions of comprehensive Soldier<br />

fitness: physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and family (build resilience).<br />

Per<strong>for</strong>mance Steps<br />

1. Physical: Maintain physical readiness; excel in physical activities that<br />

require strength, endurance, and mobility.<br />

a. Participate in collective or individual PRT sessions <strong>for</strong> 60-90 minutes,<br />

four to five times per week IAW AR 350-1 and TC 3-22.20.<br />
