Brass Monkey has existed since 2003 and been a consistent force in the<br />
Bay Area (and national) mixed since being founded. The team prides<br />
itself on playing gritty defense in any conditions and having a smile while<br />
getting the block. The team spirit is anchored by Nate Miller, Kerry Soo,<br />
Patrick Hard and the original monkeys but as always we are excited by the<br />
new blood for 2007. The stories from past years are retold with gusto and<br />
bonding happens on at the track and on team retreats. We guarantee that<br />
we eat better than any other team in the fall series.<br />
This year has seen a conscious effort to play against some of the best<br />
mixed teams in the country by traveling to Boston, Seattle and then<br />
hosting Mixed Labor Day in San Francisco. The team has had our ups<br />
and downs on the field this season but we are battle tested and like good<br />
Spartans fear no one.<br />
See you on the field or at the beach and we will have a good time with<br />
Chuck and his fiddle.<br />

In 2006, a bunch of Wookiees and Wookettes decided it would be fun<br />
to play together (along with some Ewoks) so Chewbacca Defense was<br />
formed. With players from Doublewide, Buttercup, Showdown, UT and<br />
Payasos con Pistolas, we’re a fun and experienced bunch. Why ‘Chewbacca<br />
Defense’? Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on<br />
Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! If<br />
Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.<br />
