2 CHAIRMAN’S REPORT: JEAN BLOTTIÈRE
By reading the following reports from our Director,
Sue Rogers, and my fellow committee chairmen, you
will see that 2005 was a challenging but successful year
for all the team involved with BAMA.
Chairman’s Report
The 2004 UK aerosol filling statistics have
shown that, despite some filling activity moving
to lower cost base countries in Eastern Europe,
the British aerosol industry has been able to
maintain its ground. The UK is still the
European market leader in the aerosol industry,
filling over 28% of all European aerosols and
this is certainly an achievement we can be
proud of. The 2005 figures were still being
collated while I wrote this report, but based
on all the issues that have been tackled by
BAMA in 2005 and discussions held during
our various committee and member forums,
I can confidently say that our industry is still
strong and very pro-active.
In 2005, the Executive Committee’s main goal
was to scope out the industry’s strategy to ensure
future success under the umbrella of ‘Sustainable
Development’. The work has involved all the
committees and sub-committees, which have been
reorganised in line with the FEA format. We started in
June by briefing member CEOs on our plans, and
after an effective away day and various meetings,
we have taken stock of the major issues facing our
industry in the future and are well on our way to
implementing an appropriate action plan. The strategy
will of course be a dynamic one which will allow us
to adjust our actions in line with forthcoming events
or legislation.
I would like to address my thanks to all our members
for their support during last year, and hope that
our results will encourage them to be as supportive
in 2006. I am also particularly thankful to the
participants of all the committees, working groups
and my fellow committee chairmen for their invaluable
contribution, without forgetting the committee members
who retired last year and all the newcomers.
Finally, I wish to say a big thank you to the BAMA
dedicated team headed by Sue Rogers, without whom
all our results would have been impossible to achieve.
By reading the following reports, from our Director,
Sue Rogers, and my fellow committee chairmen, you
will see that 2005 was a challenging but successful
year for all the team involved with BAMA. We have
managed various indoor air quality and regulatory
issues impacting our industry and we are still focusing
our time on the EU Chemicals policy (REACH), the
regulations on F-Gases including HFC use in Aerosols,
and the Aerosol Directive. BAMA has tapped into the
wealth of expertise offered by its members to present
unified industry views on all items to key stakeholders.

DIRECTOR’S REPORT: SUE ROGERS 3
The long term identification and management
of issues is a key part of the service and added
value which we aim to provide to our members.
Director’s Report
‘A valid criticism of many trade associations is
that they are too concerned with short term
issues and therefore fail to influence the
climate of opinion which a few years down the
track will generate more short term issues.
The good trade associations are engaged in
fire prevention as well as fire fighting.’
This exactly fits our long standing philosophy in BAMA.
The long term identification and management of issues is
a key part of the service and added value which we aim
to provide to our members. The quote is taken from a
recent report by Mark Boléat, a well known expert in the
management and governance of trade associations. He
was commissioned to review high level representation of
the chemicals industry, looking at the roles of the Chemical
Industries Association and the members of the Alliance of
Industry Associations, the ‘AIA’.
The AIA is an informal group of associations representing
sectors like ours which use chemicals in their products,
but are a part of the consumer goods market rather than
the chemicals supply chain. We have been working
together since the early 90s. The member associations
group together as necessary to manage issues of particular
importance to their sectors. This helps prevent the
duplication of resources and to share expertise. During
the 90s BAMA led the activity on behalf of the group on
the SACKI (‘solvent abuse can kill instantly’) warning;
recently the Directors and technical staff of all the AIA
members have worked together on the requirements
of REACH. Boléat’s conclusion was that the informal
links between the AIA members are “an excellent example
of how trade associations of their own volition cooperate in
a way that benefits all of them yet at a minimal cost”.
The overarching issues such as health and
environment affect many of our sectors and we
continue to develop ways of dealing with them
effectively. For the last two years we have been
working very closely with CTPA and UKCPI on indoor
air quality issues. We have developed a simple web
page to direct internet users to our own web sites if
they are looking for information from industry on
Director’s Report
these issues. Previously, internet searches tended to
yield only one side of the debate. We have also
widened the networking activity to include the British
Fragrance Association, whose products are common
to us all and their active involvement is a vital part of
the future management of indoor air issues.
The popular negative perception of ‘chemicals’ is central
to many of the issues and the work we are doing to
develop a sustainable development strategy for the sector
will be part of the way we address that. In 2006 we shall
continue to work on this long term initiative and will
begin to involve the BAMA committees more and more
in the process. As part of the strategy we are developing a
Message Matrix which will form the core of our external
communications on aerosol products.
Equally, we do not neglect the other core activities
of providing practical information and guidance to
our members. A lot of work has gone into developing
several guides this year such as the document
‘Are YOU Getting Ready for REACH?’ BAMA, through
Paul Jackson, has played an important role in the
PRODUCE (Piloting REACH on Downstream Use
and Communication in Europe) study, a practical
run-through of the REACH process. Information
DIRECTOR’S REPORT: SUE ROGERS 5
BAMA welcomed the following new members during 2005: KBIG Ltd;
Tallon International; and Sumitomo Chemical (UK).
Three members also left during the year bringing the total number of
BAMA members to 66 at year end.
Director’s Report
from BAMA’s database and exposure model proved
invaluable and we are building on that in order to
provide a service in the future. From the experience
of the PRODUCE study, this will be a significant and
unique benefit to all members, whether large or small.
I would like to thank the members who have been
so involved in developing and presenting a new
practical training course on propellant safety, which
is proving popular.
I would also like to thank all our members for their
support and especially those on our committees
for their hard work; and all my staff, who work
extraordinarily hard. And I want to single out
Vic Hyde who retired at the end of 2005. Vic has
been a real stalwart of the industry, BAMA and
FEA for many years, and his knowledge,
understanding and expertise will be greatly missed.
We wish him every happiness in his retirement.
of the various BAMA
Committees on their
achievements in 2005.
Reports are completed by
the Committee Chairmen.
AEROSOLS 2007 – THE THEME OF WHICH IS
‘PROPELLING AEROSOLS WORLD-WIDE’
The industry prospectus for Aerosols 2007 says it all
and our decision to use the vibrant city of Manchester
is looking more comfortable by the day. Our chosen
Conference Organiser, Concorde Services Ltd, has set
to work already and on our stand at the FEA Congress
in Athens in September 2005, they managed to sell
some 40% of the stand space - two years ahead of
the event. As already mentioned, they have also
produced an excellent industry prospectus which
reflects the level of creativity and innovation going
into the planning of this event.
We are determined to present a new format for the
Congress itself while still adhering to the main theme
and to the environmental, social and economic issues
affecting our industry, which are covered by the phrase
Sustainable Development. Additionally, we are including
the first international FEA Aerosols Industry Awards
to recognise and reward the skills within our industry.
More details are available on the event’s website
www.aerosols2007.co.uk.
The work programme is building and the benefits of
a strong committee will allow us to spread the load
amongst the members but our thanks go out to the
full time staff of BAMA for their continued help and
commitment. This will be a truly memorable
occasion for all the industry.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
The Committee continued to focus on BAMA’s
Sustainable Development approach. A questionnaire
was developed and issued in order to get some base
data for the commencement of our sustainable
development journey. A CEOs’ meeting was held in June
in order to canvass support for the approach, and an
Executive Committee Away Day was held in the Autumn
to revisit our strategy. This final event helped in
crystallising our efforts and priorities have now been
set for our 2006 activities.
BAMA STANDARD
Issue 2 of BAMA’s Standard for Consumer Safety
and Good Manufacturing Practice continues to be used
widely as a reference tool. Audits were carried out at
component suppliers and a distribution facility in order
to test the process. No formal verifications have taken
place yet but it has been agreed that external ISO 9001
auditors can be used to verify certain modules of the
Standard. Work will start in 2006 on Issue 3 which
will be launched at the FEA International Aerosol
Congress and Exhibition in 2007.
FINANCIAL PLANNING &
MEMBERSHIP RECRUITMENT
The Committee reviewed the subscription rates and,
as a result, subscriptions were increased in line
with inflation.
BAMA TRAINING
BAMA courses remained popular during 2005.
A new course on the Safe Handling of Aerosol
Propellants was launched and, in total, five BAMA
courses were held during the year.
CHEMICALS REGULATORY FORUM
BAMA is a member of this key Forum established
by the DTI and The Cabinet Office. As part of its
work, a study is underway to consider the cumulative
burden of regulations on companies in our sector.
The Committee recommended that BAMA should
contribute to the study. We had a positive response
from membership and data gathering will commence
in early 2006.

SUPPORTING BAMA MEMBERS
BAMA continued to drive and develop the annual
programme of Events and Training. The two day
Spring and Autumn BAMA Forums were well attended
and we were delighted to welcome expert speakers
covering such a broad spectrum of aerosol-related
subjects. The 2005 AGM and Annual Lunch was
held on 23 June. Training courses on the Introduction
to Aerosol Technology, Safe Handling of Aerosol
Propellants, Aerosol Labelling, and the Transport
of Aerosols took place. These BAMA courses are
extremely popular and we particularly thank all those
members that assist in the running of the courses.
Four new BAMA Guides were launched during the
year on Transport; Packing Filled Aerosols Safely;
Warehousing; and Recycling Empty Aerosols from
Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Premises.
Publication of the quarterly member update, Press
for Success, continues and we are pleased that
this is recognised to be such an important vehicle
for ensuring members are kept up-to-date on all
matters affecting the industry.
PROMOTING INNOVATION
As part of our drive to encourage innovation within the
industry, the sponsorship of the British Design and Art
Direction (D&AD) Student Design Awards culminated
with judging in late April and the Awards Ceremony in
July. The aerosol brief challenged students to design an
aerosol product ‘that will decrease the stresses and
strains of modern life or increase the quality of an
experience’. We were delighted that the winners of our
aerosol category, a team of students from Central Saint
Martins College of Art and Design in London, then went
on to win the Overall Design Award and the prestigious
Yellow Pencil as D&AD Winner 2005. The winners and
runners up presented their concepts at the Autumn
BAMA Forum. We plan to maintain our involvement with
the D&AD Awards, launching an aerosol brief in April
2006 for the 2007 Awards and are investigating further
options of developing our links within the design field.
Two further issues of Aerodynamics were produced,
presenting the best in aerosol innovation and new
product technology. These newsletters offer a valuable
opportunity to showcase new technology and highlight
new developments to both packaging decision makers
and the press.
Robert Opie launched his new Brands, Packaging
and Advertising Museum in Notting Hill, London.
Apart from the obvious nostalgic trip through
packaging history, the Museum features a Metals
Packaging Display, part-sponsored by BAMA, which
showcases why the aerosol is still relevant today.
AEROSOL RECYCLING
The BAMA campaign to promote recycling of
aerosols through local authorities has continued
and we are delighted that now over 75% of local
authorities recycle aerosols. We have taken all
opportunities to promote this and will further
investigate how we can assist in promoting the
recycling of aerosols. In conjunction with this work
we printed and promoted a new Guide: recycling
empty aerosols from industrial, commercial and
institutional premises.
WORKING WITH RETAILERS
BAMA continued to drive its direct communication
link with the major retailers and two meetings of
the Retailers’ Liaison Group took place within the
year. During this meeting we were able to update
the retail contacts on legislative and regulatory
developments, alongside recent aerosol issues. We
will continue this contact in 2006.

WORKING WITH THE PRESS
Maintaining our focus on monitoring media attention
concerning aerosols has continued. A media breakfast
was held in July 2005, followed by a factory visit to
one of our members. These were both valuable
opportunities to promote many of the developments
within the industry. BAMA has for most of this year
been hard at work, alongside other trade associations
such as UKCPI and CTPA, to set the record straight
about aerosols and air fresheners following misleading
press publicity about these products.
The VSA Committee met three times in 2005.
Thanks are due to Committee members for their
continued support on this important issue. Special
thanks are extended to external members Warren
Hawksley, Richard Ives, Steve Lambert and John
Ramsey for the passion and energy they bring to
the Committee.
SPONSORSHIP/PRESENTATIONS
During 2005 the Association made a number of
sponsorship contributions. In 2004, with BAMA
support, Re-Solv redeveloped their successful on-line
training course for professionals who are dealing
with VSA. In 2005 BAMA followed this up with
support to promote the course to users. BAMA also
again provided funds to the Scottish Drugs Forum for
their VS Focus newsletter. In addition, BAMA made
a number of presentations highlighting industry
efforts to tackle VSA, most notably at LOST and
Solve-It conferences.
VSA STATISTICS
The 2003 St George’s report on VSA fatalities,
released mid 2005, revealed that in 2003 there
were 51 deaths in the UK associated with volatile
substance abuse. This is the lowest annual total
recorded since 1983. The report ‘Trends in Death
Associated with Abuse of Volatile Substances
1971-2003’, which was prepared for the
Department of Health, describes trends in death
associated with the abuse of gas fuels, aerosols,
glues and other solvent-based products.
Environment
The Environment Committee met five times during
the year. There were also meetings of the Scientific
Panel and the Aerosol Ingredients Working Group.
BAMA representatives were also heavily committed
to the European Aerosol Federation (FEA)
Environment Committee, the VOC Working Group,
the HFC Working Group, the Aerosol Ingredients
Working Group, and Integrated Product Policy
Working Group.
with butane cigarette lighter refills, prohibited by
legislation for sale to under 18s. In 2002, there
were 24 deaths in under 18 year olds, of which 15
were associated with butane cigarette lighter refills.
Deaths were generally sudden and in 2003 were three
times more common in males than females. For both
adults and children, volatile substance abuse leading
to death usually took place in the home.
As pointed out in previous Committee reports, the
VSA Committee feels strongly that to reduce the
number of deaths requires a concerted, integrated
effort between experts and the government.
STAKEHOLDER FORUM
The Department of Health has produced a Volatile
Substance Abuse framework, enlisting other
Government departments in a cross-government
initiative. As part of this framework, four priorities
were identified:
■ better education
■ dealing with VSA better locally
■ minimising the opportunities for abuse
■ research
VSA Committee members are actively involved in the
working groups set up to address these priorities.
INDOOR AIR QUALITY
This topic continued to be a major issue and attracted
considerable media attention, driven by various
consumer groups and other NGOs. More recently,
the European Scientific Committee on Health and
Environmental Risks (SCHER) was asked by the
European Commission to review some of these
reports. BAMA plans some new studies which it
hopes will provide invaluable defence of our
products and will also help contribute to some
issues under the REACH programme.
VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS
The EU Thematic Strategy on Air Pollution was
published this year, and although it did not specifically
call for reductions in VOCs from consumer products,
the supporting draft Clean Air For Europe (CAFÉ)
Directive, does refer to the Decorative Paints Directive,
which does set VOC content limits. Some countries,
notably Belgium and Holland, are continuing to look
hard at how they can further reduce their VOC
emissions in order to comply with their obligations
under the National Emissions Ceiling (NEC) Directive.
The Dutch Government-sponsored IVAM Study on
reducing VOCs from cosmetic and cleaning products
was published, suggesting that some VOC reductions
could be achieved from these categories of products.
However, the Dutch Government stated that it would
not act alone and would only seek regulation on an

Group continues to work hard to have a robust
defence to any challenges that may arise, and is
now working jointly with the AISE and COLIPA VOC
Committees on this issue.
CLIMATE CHANGE
The major focus during the year was once again the
Fluorinated Gases Regulation under the European
Climate Change Programme. The use of HFCs in
‘novelty’ products will definitely be outlawed.
However, following major lobbying by BAMA and its
German counterpart ‘IGA’, uses in technical products
will be preserved on the grounds of safety and lack
of suitable, technically feasible alternatives. It is likely
that the F-Gases Regulation will be implemented in
2006, with the ban on HFCs in novelty products
coming into force in 2009. Some Member States
will be allowed to keep more stringent national
legislation, which may affect some technical
products in those countries.
PACKAGING & PACKAGING WASTE
Importantly, BAMA continues to support the recycling
of empty aerosol cans, and is happy to report that now
more than 75% of Local Authorities accept aerosols as
a part of their recycling operations.
EU CHEMICAL POLICY
In late 2005, the EU made huge progress with
the new European Chemical Regulations, REACH. It
is now expected REACH will begin implementation
in late 2007. Correspondingly, a huge amount of
work has been going on within BAMA following
the deliberations at the EU, and the various
activities under the European Commission’s Interim
Strategy. In October, BAMA published a guide
‘Are YOU Getting Ready for REACH?’, as a support
to members, in raising the awareness of REACH
and the actions that companies should be taking
now in preparation.
The BAMA Aerosol Ingredients Working Group and
the Scientific Panel have led the work and adopted a
strategy of collecting relevant data on key ingredients,
and working on improving the BAMA Exposure Model.
This information will be fed into the FEA Aerosol
Ingredients Working Group which has also been active in
collecting data on 10 key aerosol ingredients to support
the development of appropriate risk assessments.
INTEGRATED PRODUCT POLICY (IPP)
This issue continues to develop rather slowly in the
EU, although there appears to be a renewed interest
in the use of Life Cycle Analysis in IPP, as a tool that
can be used to identify environmental impacts. IPP
aims to achieve continuous environmental improvement
to products and services, with a focus on Life Cycle
Analysis, Environmental Labelling and Green
Procurement. BAMA’s involvement is through the
FEA IPP Working Group which is active in preparing
to respond to any work in this area.
On behalf of BAMA, I would like to extend my
grateful thanks for the support and expertise of
all those members of the Committee and Working
Groups for the efforts they put in to further the
environmental interests of our industry. We lost a
number of committee members during the last year
and we would warmly welcome any new member
who wishes to help us improve the environment
for all of us. Particular thanks go to Vic Hyde who
retired at the end of the year following 42 years
working for L’Oreal and eight years as Chairman of
the BAMA Environment Committee. We wish Vic all
the best for his retirement.
Operational Safety
The Operational Safety Committee was formed in
2005 as a result of the reorganisation of the BAMA
committee structure. Within our remit we have all
manufacturing and distribution safety issues and the
difficult area of Transport of Dangerous Goods. Therefore
most members have a manufacturing or distribution
background and come from the previous Technical
Committee and working groups on Warehouse Safety
and DSEAR that performed so successfully in the past
to protect our industry and our employees. As a
Committee we hope to maintain the enviable BAMA
reputation for providing authoritative and thorough
advice to our members and the respect that we have
earned from authorities like the HSE and Department
for Transport (DfT). We are now aligned to the FEA
committee structure and our mission is clear, to
support our members on Operational Safety matters.
During 2005, regulations to implement ADR/RID
2005 were put in place in the UK. This cleared away
UK specific legislation and brought us into line with
much of the rest of the world. BAMA is working with the
DfT to develop a code of practice for how companies
may apply for authorisation to implement an alternative
to the hot water bath test before this facility becomes
fully available by law in 2007. The Committee is
watching developments carefully regarding proposed
restrictions to the Limited Quantity concept. With the
constant and much valued support of Martin Castle
of Pira International and through FEA, BAMA is in a
strong position to positively influence the outcome of
these discussions.
The 3rd edition of the BAMA Guide to the Safe
Warehousing of Aerosols was published in May; many
thanks to the working group who brought this together.
of the Pollution Prevention and Control Regulations
(PPC) on the aerosol industry. After careful negotiation
with Environment Agency inspectors, BAMA was
able to steer a path through the legislation that
largely excluded the core of the industry from the
regime. A guide was speedily published for members
towards the end of the year; many thanks to the
Working Group for this success. It is with regret that
we say goodbye to Ian Davies who has left the
aerosol industry to pursue his career elsewhere.
Work to develop a test method for accidental
actuation through applying a top load continued. In
Europe, the FEA expressed an interest in adopting
this work with a view to creating a standard for
the industry.
The Committee also started looking at suitable
ways to measure the effectiveness and performance
of safety management systems. This was as a direct
result of the comments from the Association of British
Insurers who said that the BAMA Standard is a useful
document but needed to be validated through
measurement. One area that has potential and is
being studied is the web-based health and safety
performance indicator tools recently published by HSE.
The Committee has also been active in the development
of a project to study the effectiveness of High Expansion
Foam to extinguish aerosol fires in warehouses. A Project
has been initiated through FEA and a consortium of
industry members is being created to manage this
activity. BAMA, through its Operational Safety
Committee, is helping with the development of the
project and the creating of the consortium.
During the year, a Working Group was formed under
the chairmanship of Ian Davies to look at the impact

Packaging & Contents
This was the first year of operation for the Packaging
and Contents Committee since it was formed by the
amalgamation of the previous Regulatory Affairs and
Technical Committees. Activity for the year concentrated
on the proposed amendment to the Aerosol Directive
and associated issues.
AEROSOL DISPENSERS DIRECTIVE (ADD)
At the beginning of 2005 the European Commission
agreed to proceed with the proposed amendment to
ADD under the procedure for Adaptation to Technical
Progress. Good progress has been made during the
year and most of industry’s proposals look likely to be
included in the amendment. During the consultation
with Member States and the public consultation phase
of the process, some suggestions were made which
would have been unhelpful to industry but these have
been largely rejected by the Commission. One or two
items remain outstanding but we are confident there
will be a satisfactory outcome and the process should
be completed during 2006.
PRESCRIBED QUANTITIES (RANGES) DIRECTIVE (PQD)
The Commission continued with the process of
repealing this piece of legislation. This is an important
issue for the aerosol industry as it permits the declaration
of contents by volume only for the majority of aerosol
products which is the preferred approach for most
marketers. Article 8 of ADD requires declaration
of contents by weight and volume and this part of
the Directive cannot be amended under the ATP
procedure. This would require amendment via
a co-decision process involving the European
Parliament which can be very protracted, so we
are anxious to avoid following this route. Thus the
maintenance of PQD in some form is important to
the aerosol industry. The Commission is sympathetic
to our case and although the situation is somewhat
confused at present, we are hopeful that the issue
will be resolved to our satisfaction.
PLASTIC AEROSOLS
At present, ADD is not aligned with the regulations
for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road
and Rail (ADR/RID) for plastic aerosols, in that the
former only allows a maximum capacity of 220ml
whereas the latter allows a capacity up to 500ml.
At this stage, FEA does not consider there is
sufficient safety information to support an increase
in size to 500ml within ADD, so a Task Force has
been set up to review the situation and generate
the required data.

Act 1985. We also report to you if, in our opinion, the
Report of the Executive Committee is not consistent
with the financial statements, if the Association has not
kept proper accounting records, if we have not received
all the information and explanations we require for our
audit, or if information specified by law regarding
Executive Committee remuneration and other
transactions is not disclosed.
We read the Report of the Executive Committee
and other information accompanying the financial
statements and consider the implications for our
report if we become aware of any apparent
misstatements within it.
BASIS OF AUDIT OPINION
We conducted our audit in accordance with International
Standards on Auditing (UK and Ireland) issued by the
Auditing Practices Board. An audit includes examination,
on a test basis, of evidence relevant to the amounts
and disclosures in the financial statements. It also
includes an assessment of the significant estimates
and judgements made by the Executive Committee in
the preparation of the financial statements, and of
whether the accounting policies are appropriate to the
Association's circumstances, consistently applied and
adequately disclosed.
We planned and performed our audit so as to
obtain all the information and explanations which
we considered necessary in order to provide us with
sufficient evidence to give reasonable assurance that
the financial statements are free from material
misstatement, whether caused by fraud or other
irregularity or error. In forming our opinion we also
evaluated the overall adequacy of the presentation
of information in the financial statements.
OPINION
In our opinion the financial statements:
• give a true and fair view, in accordance with United
Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice,
of the state of the Association's affairs as at
31 December 2005 and of its surplus for the
year then ended; and
• have been properly prepared in accordance with
the Companies Act 1985.
9 PENSION COMMITMENTS
In the past the Association utilised the services of employees of
the Chemical Industries Association (CIA) whose employment
contracts provided for retirement benefits based on final
pensionable pay. On 31 May 2002 this ‘defined benefits’
scheme ceased and was replaced by a defined contribution
scheme. There is a Minimum Funding Requirement deficit on
the defined benefits scheme which is due to be eliminated by
June 2012. The Association is currently contributing £1,048
per month to make good the proportion of this deficit that
relates to these employees, but future contributions cannot
be calculated accurately at this time. The amount charged to
income and expenditure account during the year in respect of
the defined benefits scheme was £12,576 (2004 - £16,076).
The Association now contributes to a defined contribution
scheme, managed by Scottish Equitable, for all staff. The
Association is invoiced by CIA in respect of staff pension
contributions, and these are charged to income and expenditure
account as invoiced. The amount charged to income and
expenditure account during the year in respect of the defined
contribution scheme was £19,232 (2004 - £19,641).
At the balance sheet date the amount provided in respect of
unpaid contributions was £2,907 (2004 - £2,536).
The Association is committed to hosting the International
Aerosols Congress and Exhibition on behalf of the European
Aerosol Association (FEA), to be held at the Manchester
International Convention Centre in September 2007. The cost
of the venue is £305,060 of which £91,518 had been paid
by the balance sheet date. The balance is to be paid in full
by September 2006.
