Important Safety Precautions<br />

• Cleaning - Unplug the AC power from the mains supply before cleaning the product.<br />

Use a damp cloth to clean the product. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.<br />

• Use a soft damp cloth to gently wipe the product when it is dirty. To protect the product,<br />

do not use a chemical cloth to clean it. Chemicals may cause damage or cracks in the casing<br />

of the product.<br />

• Water and moisture - Do not expose the unit to wet or damp conditions.<br />

• Do not place vases or any other water-filled containers on this product.<br />

The water may spill onto the product causing fire or electric shock.<br />

• Ventilation - The vents and other openings in the casing are designed for ventilation.<br />

Do not cover or block these vents and openings since insufficient ventilation can cause overheating<br />

and/or shorten the life of the product. Do not place the product on a carpet or other similar surface,<br />

since they can block ventilation openings. This product is designed for built-in Rack mount,<br />

Desk- top installation; ensure proper ventilation is provided and the manufacturer’s instructions are<br />

adhered to.<br />

• Heat sources - Keep the product away from heat sources such as direct sunlight, radiators,<br />

heaters, stoves and other heat-generating products (including amplifiers) unless mounted correctly<br />

in a Rack .<br />

• To prevent fire, never place any type of candle or naked flames on the top or near the product.<br />

• Servicing - Do not attempt to service the product yourself. Removing covers can expose you to<br />

electric shock and other dangerous conditions. Maintenance should be performed by the<br />

manufacturer or a suitably qualified person.<br />

Introduction<br />

The <strong>HMX</strong> <strong>Scaler</strong> is design to display your HD pictures on an HDTV. It can upscale the HDMI<br />

input sources to HDMI output for wide-range of HD resolutions; the supported resolutions<br />

are XGA/UXGA/720p/1080p/1366 x 768/1440 x 900/1400 x 1050. The unit provides the<br />

user with a variety of output resolutions in order to give you the best picture quality. Move<br />

over, with built-in hot-key OSD function and display it helps the user to view and select the<br />

desired resolution instantly.<br />

1. HDMI IN:<br />

This slot is where you plug your input source equipment with HDMI cable for source<br />

signal sending.<br />

2. DC 5V:<br />

This slot is where you plug the 5V DC power supply into the unit and connect the<br />

adaptor to an AC wall outlet.<br />

3. HDMI OUT:<br />

This slot is where you connect to HDTV display with HDMI cable for source signal display.<br />

4. Power LED:<br />

This LED will illuminate when power is connected.<br />

5. Timing Button:<br />

Press this button once to show both input and output display resolution and while OSD<br />

is still on press it again to select output resolution from 720p to 1080p / 1280 x 800 /<br />

1366 x 768 / 1920 x 1200 (RB).<br />
