Friday Sermon

Honour of the Holy Prophet (saw) and

Blasphemy law

During his Friday Sermon on the 21st Jan 2011, Huzur (atba) said:

If our detractors get a chance to say negative things about the

Holy Prophet (peace and

blessings of Allah be on him)

due to our weaknesses, then

we are answerable to God for

this. Love for the Prophet

(peace and blessings of Allah

be on him) is not to be expressed

through empty slogans.

God wants practice.

This is a serious cause for

concern for Muslims. If the

Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) had not elucidated the

true status of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah

be on him) to us, the extent of our reverence for him would also

have been limited to holding apparent rallies. He understood

the lofty station of the Prophet (peace and blessings of

Allah be on him) and then explained it to us.

Message from

QAID MKA LEICESTER

Respected Brothers Khuddam and Atfal,

Assalamu Alaikum

All praise belongs to Allah Almighty for making this newsletter a reality. Jazakallah to Nazim Isha‟at Orhan Ahmed

Sahib and his team for their extraordinary efforts.

It is my ultimate dream that, Insha‟Allah this newsletter (BAITUL-IKRAM Gazette), named after our mosque, will

go a long way to be an effective mode of communication to unite and improve the efforts of MKA Leicester.

Moreover, as the first local Ijtema under the new Majlis-e-Amila approaches, I would like to use this opportunity to

shed light on this blessed event. The founder of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Hadhrat Musleh Maud (ra) had

stated that, “the aim of any auxiliary organisation within the Jama‟at is to create the fear of Allah in their members”.

Hadhrat Musleh Maud(ra) went on to say that, Ijtemas serve the purpose of increasing knowledge and also the

spiritual and physical conditions of Khuddam. Thus, the purpose of sports competitions is to make Khuddam

physically stronger so that they can serve their religion better. Therefore it is incumbent upon every Khadim and Tifl

to attend the Ijtema and to take part in the events.

Whilst we get together to improve brotherhood, we must also realise that it is only through the fear of Allah,

dedication and discipline that could prepare us to be the leaders of tomorrow in whatever capacity, being it worldly

or spiritual. We must therefore use the spirit of the Ijtema to establish change in ourselves as a demonstration of our

claim to be followers of the Reformer of the age, Hadhrat Masih Maud (as).

The theme for this year‟s Ijtema is „Sacrifice‟. This carries a huge significance as it reminds us of our solemn pledge

to sacrifice our time, wealth and honour for the sake of our Religion. So this is the time to take a stock of our lives

and ask ourselves if we are really living our lives according to the Pledge. We should ask ourselves, how many

times we make efforts to offer our 5 daily prayers, attend Jama‟at events and when was the last time, perhaps, we

paid Khuddam Chanda? If we are failing, then the time for change is now, as tomorrow belongs to those who start

preparation today.

Insha‟Allah, I look forward to meeting all members of the Leicester Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya and Atfal at this

year‟s local Ijtema, and it is my humble prayers that we use the Ijtema as an avenue to foster the spirit of true

Brotherhood and as true servants of the Holy Prophet (saw).

News of the Month

PositiveKhuddamSleepover

ALHAMDULILLAH, the Leicester Khuddam Sleepover Class

organised on 25 th December 2010 night at Baitul Ikram yielded

positive results. The event was also opened to Atfal from the age

of 12 and above. The objectives of the event, according to Qaid

Leicester Ibrahim Bonsu, were to improve brotherhood and also

for Ta‟leem, Tabligh and Tarbiyyat purposes. Special attention

was on Hadhrat Isa(as) as Christmas was being celebrated by

Christians. The Sleepover also gave opportunity for Khuddam to

perform Tahajjud prayers. Performing Tahajjud prayers serve as a

potent means of subduing oneself and gaining self control over

human weaknesses. This would therefore help to improve the observance of

the five daily prayers amongst the youth.

The event started at 20.30hrs (after the Ishaa Salaat) with recitation of the

Holy Qu‟ran by Afaq Baig Sahib. Hadith by Munam Khadim Sahib and

sayings of the Promised Messiah (as) by Orhan Ahmed Sahib. The

programme was then introduced by Qaid Sahib-Ibrahim Bonsu followed by

advice from Murabbi Maulana Ghulam Ahmed Khadim Sahib. From

20.40hrs to 21.30hrs participants enjoyed table tennis and food was also

served. Qu‟ran class by Murabbi Sahib resumed afterwards, followed by a

session on Etiquettes of a Khadim and the Mosque by Qaid Sahib.

The Ta‟leem and Tabligh session which was coordinated by Jama‟at‟s secretary for Ta‟leem & Tarbiyyat-

Saleem Ahmed Sahib also began at 22.15hrs. In this session, three short videos were relayed and they

comprised of: 1.Mullahs verdict on Apostasy; 2. Similarities between the rejection of the respective Messiahs

by the Jews and non-Ahmadi Muslims and; 3. Jesus (as) in Kashmir, a Channel 4 Documentary.

Discussions were held at the end of each video and Saleem Ahmed Sahib also provided further comments to

the satisfaction of the audience. Alhamdulillah, the night programme ended at 23.15hrs and there were 32

participants: 19 Khuddam, 5 Atfal and 8 Ansar. Preparation for the sleepover then followed.

8 Khuddam and 1 Tifl slept at the mosque and woke up at 05.30hrs (26 th

December) in preparation for Tahajjud prayers. They were joined by others

making up a total of 13 people (11 Khuddam and 2 Ansar) during Tahajjud

which started at 05.45hrs and led by Murabbi Sahib. Darsul Qu‟ran and

Qu‟ranic reading by participants followed after Fajr Prayers.

At 07.30hrs, warm up exercise led by Qaid Sahib- Ibrahim Bonsu was

conducted and this was followed by breakfast. The class finally came to an

end at 09.30hrs after a mosque cleaning (Waqar-e-Amal ) session.

Insha‟Allah we hope to continue with a monthly congregational Tahajjud prayer, on the first Sunday of each

month and sleepover classes at regular intervals as convenient.

Jazakallah

Ibrahim Bonsu.

DREAMS FORETELLING THE FIFTH

KHILAFAT

(SEEN BEFORE THE ELECTIONS)

By Maulana Ataul Mujeeb Rashed

In Ayat Istakhlaf (Surah Al-Nur, Verse 56), believers have been given the glad tiding that as

long as they remain on the path of righteousness, Allah will reward them with the establishment of Khilafat. This

verse is clear in its declaration that a Khalifa is appointed by Allah Himself. The believers are given an opportunity

to express their choice but there can be little doubt that they settle and agree on the person who is already the choice

of the Almighty. Allah further gives strength to the believers by informing some men, women and even children

among them, in various degrees of clarity, of his choice so that later they can bear witness as the events unfold. This

gives tremendous strength to their faith. It has been observed that these fortunate individuals keep this knowledge

privy, treating it as a trust and sharing it only with some close associates. Prior to the Fifth Khilafat, there were hundreds

of people who were shown clear dreams as to the outcome. A selection from among those is being presented

here:

Mr Maqsoodul Haq son of Late Maulana Abul Munir Noorul Haq writes in a

letter

dated August 28, 2003:

“Today I called my mother to confirm the following as narrated by her: „around

two to three years before your father‟s demise (December 30th, 1995), on waking

up in the morning he told me that in a dream he saw a room with family members

of the Promised Messiah (as) sitting in a circle. Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih III (ru)

arrives carrying two necklaces in his hands, one small and the other one large. He

looks at the people and puts the larger necklace on Sahibzada Mirza Masroor Ahmad

Sahib [atba] and the smaller on some other elderly gentleman. After having

narrated his dream your father said that it seems that Allah intends to place an important

responsibility on these two individuals. He further said that he is sharing

his dream with me since he may not be alive when this comes to pass.‟ My mother

said that though he may have used different words but the meaning was as mentioned.”

Mr Ikram Ullah Cheema of Germany writes to Huzur [atba]:

“In 1997 I saw a dream that you are visiting my home in Rabwah wearing „Huzur [atba]‟s‟ turban and are also

dressed like „Hazoor‟. I address you as „Hazoor‟. I ask, where is the bodyguard? Then I ask how did this come to

pass? You respond that it is a blessing of Allah upon yourself. For a moment I feel as if you are lost in the feeling of

gratitude to your Lord. I touch your arm and that brings you around and you start walking again. In the dream I am

told that your name is Masroor Ahmad. I had never met you before. I swear upon God that when after a gap of ten

years I was visiting Rabwah I saw you and found you as I had seen you in the dream. In the dream your countenance

had a light to it that I have not seen before.”

Mr Shaikh Umar Ahmad Munir son of Late Mr Shaikh Noor Ahmad Munir of

Rawalpindi writes:

“I swear in the name of Allah that in December 1999 I saw the following dream: I am

entering the mosque in Islamabad (Pakistan) and see Mr Ayubi (driver of Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih III (ru) outside a

large room. I ask him why he is standing outside when everyone is praying inside. He says that he is on guard for the

one who is going to be the Khalifa. I say that I would also like to see the person who is going to be the next Khalifa.

On my insistence he makes me promise that I will not tell anyone. When I enter the room I see Sahibzada Mirza

Masroor Ahmad [atba] and with that I woke.

BOOKS OF THE PROMISED MESSIAH (AS)

Brahin-i-Ahmadiyya

Article from: www.alislam.org

The first and the second volumes of Brahin-i-Ahmadiyya were published in 1880 CE, the third

volume in 1882 and the fourth volume in 1884. The fifth volume took, under the divine scheme, a

long time to be published. It saw the light of the day after 1905. When the book started to be

written and published, the British Government was well established in

the sub-continent of India and in its wake the Christian religion was

getting itself entrenched with great force and speed. The statistics

show that whereas there were 91,000 Christians in India in 1851 CE,

there were no less than 470,000 in 1881 CE. The increase in number

was simply unprecedented.

The onslaught of the Christian missionaries was mostly directed towards

the Muslims. Followers of some other religions, like Hinduism,

also did not lag behind in attacking Islam. Arya Samaj was particularly

opposed to all that was connected with Islam and the Muslims. It was

in these circumstances that Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) who

later on claimed to be the Promised Messiah and Mahdi, took up his

pen to prove the truth of Islam and the excellence of the Holy Qur'an.

As for the reason why he wrote his book Brahin-i-Ahmadiyya, he

says:

“Let it be clear to all the seekers after truth that the reason why this book entitled Brahin-i-

Ahmadiyya ala haqiqati kitabilla hil Qur 'an wannubuwwatil Mohammadiyya (the proofs of the

truth of the Book of Allah - the Holy Qur'an, and the Prophethood of Muhammad (saw) has been

compiled is that the proofs of the truth of Islam and the proofs of the excellence of the Holy

Qur'an and the proofs of the truth of the Prophethood of the Holy Prophet (saw), the Khatamun-

Nabiyyeen, may God's choicest blessings be upon him, are made known to the people with the

greatest clarity and all those who do not believe in the sacred book and chosen Prophet, are

silenced with perfect intellectual proofs in a way that they cannot open their mouths any more.”

Hadhrat Ahmad (as) offered a prize of 10,000 rupees to anyone who could refute these proofs and

give even one-fifth of these proofs in favour of his own religion, scripture and Prophet. He was so

anxious to make things clear to the people that he got this challenge (with prize) printed in such

bold letters that a page of almost 10" length had only seven lines on it and it was spread over

pages 24 to 52.

When the Christians and the Hindus saw the first volume, they became furious and talked most irrelevantly

but none of them succeeded in taking up the challenge sincerely. Hadhrat Ahmad (as)

then explained to his readers that he never had any intention to injure the feelings of the people.

What he actually wanted to do and what he was doing was to prove intellectually that Islam was a

better religion than every other religion. He said the days had passed when stories were

considered to be sufficient to prove that a religion was a living and practical religion.
